Same, and same! She has great chemistry with Eleven. But Twelve and Clara are truly special together. I could write a whole essay about their relationship. I am thrilled they love Clara right now (and love hearing Eric call her “beautiful girl”), and am counting the weeks to the 12-Clara era.

I legit had a dream the other night of the guys reacting to The Day Of The Doctor... The anticipation for that is killing me! haha But, I was thinking... is there a way they could have the titles for that opening blurred out? People that have seen it will know what I mean... certain "cameos" so to speak, are spoiled bigtime in the opening few mins... I guess because it was common knowledge at the time for us Who fans... but these guys have NO IDEA whats coming! And it would be so cool to see them find out... as it happens. Just a thought.

I agree that Jenna Coleman is quite the attractive lady. And in a Victorian dress that covers her completely from neck to ankles? Hubba, hubba. But as a companion, I dunno. My dislike of Matt Smith, and of the writing of the Capaldi era, probably colors my perception of her. On a different note, how many people noticed her in the first Captain America movie?

Here's the thing, I didn't like Season 4 as much as most people. I found Stolen Earth/Journeys End to be lacking, Turn Left to be a copy of a much better Buffy episode and the front half of episodes before Silence in the Library is dull as paint. But I didn't bombard the comments section saying its the worst era of Doctor Who. I think its good to let people love what they love.

I was ridiculously excited for this reaction, and it did not disappoint. That was amazing. I’m so glad they seem to love Clara, as well as her chemistry with the Doctor. That’s one of the reasons she got cast, because she was one of the few people who could talk as fast as Matt. And I wasn’t expecting so much laughter but was pleasantly surprised! Strax is hilarious. Clara is wonderful. Matt is great. Vastra and Jenny are delightful. The “one word” scene is one of my absolute favourites. So much excitement for Clara being the companion - which I loved. Also the SHOCK of one moment saying she should be the companion, and then having her dying on them - AGAIN. Brilliant. Aaron’s pokerface is great. I love this episode. It has this wonderful, magical vibe, very fantastical fairytale, it looks gorgeous and also like. Richard E. Grant as the villain. I’m sold. Also, best companion music theme, I think. AND - well done with the editing, Lono. A lot of great moments. And hilarious zoom-ins. Don’t want to go into spoilers, so I feel like I can’t talk much more - but I actually am very excited going forward from here.

I will never get tired of this episode. It's not only the best x-mas special, it's one of my favourite episodes ever. It's cool how Eric remarked on Jenna Coleman being able to keep up with Matt Smith because that's one of the main reasons she got the part. The one word test scene is probably my favourite dialouge in DW ever. It's so well written, i get chills. And i liked this reaction so much i'm going to watch it again right away!

My memory is that a lot of people thought that after this (and also Asylum) but asking an actress to do variations on the same role three times is a lot - and the present day Clara has less sparkle than the first two versions. It'll be interesting to see if that's the impression the guys get or not. Personally, I still liked Clara, but I liked her more in this than later. I may see things differently another go around as well.
