Judging from the show's past view on allies, I'm guessing that Stanley will either be a force working against him within the prison, or will be murdered and Oliver will feel responsible.

The way that he has attached himself to Oliver makes me think he’s a bad guy. He never leaves Oliver’s side and is always putting ideas into his head and pushing him towards violence. It feels like a classic “he was the bad guy all along” situation to me.

I'm thinking positive. It'd be cool to see Oliver spend an episode proving Stanley's innocence once he inevitably gets out of prison.

I feel like it would be TOO obvious that he would be a “bad” guy, so I’m gonna say he’s going to end up being a positive influence on Oliver, because Oliver was nice to him and let him be his friend.

In every prison film there is the wimpy appearing non threaten guy to later end up being the brainy mastermind. Or likely Diaz number one stooge. Never turn your back in prison especially the nerd wimpy looking guys. Benjamin Linus in Lost Taught me that.

Crazy theory time. Maybe Oliver's brain was getting annoyed at Oliver doing nothing and ignoring the injustice going on so it created Stanley to push Oliver to fight back and care more about what's going on around him.

If you think about it, he’s the one who pushed Oliver into doing stuff in there and forced himself into Oliver’s life in there. Plus that line “Trust no one” was too suspicious.

Oliver is his own negative force. He tends to do the semi wrong thing for what he sees as the right reason. Anyone else would be positive, a sounding board or reflection of his actions.

I thought in this last episode, he'd turn out to be The Demon too, but now I'm not sure. It could be a misdirect, but something is definitely up with him, he's just so weasily.

That guy is totally shady. I don't know if he's necessarily a spy per se but he is definitely more than he seems. And if he is just a good dude then his only purpose in the story will be to die so Oliver has something new to feel guilty about.

It feels almost obvious that he's something bad. This may end up being another case like the writers originally intending Adrian Chase to be Vigilante - they had to change their writing direction because it was too obvious.
