Black Lightning 1x3 Poll!

Do you think Jefferson and Lynn were wrong to surprise Jennifer with the Meta-therapist?

Comments

Last Season: We cant take Jeniffer ti a therapist without revealing she has powers. This Season: We have a therapist who will ambush you in a park and teleport you to another dimension. WTF?

Joel

Of course it went badly. It was a terrible idea to just have the therapist ambush her in a park

Jeanette C

Absolutely, it was a terrible idea.

Darth Skhorrn

I get wanting the meeting itself to be a surprise, but the therapist should have introduced herself and said "Hi, your parents wanted me to help you learn to control your powers," and explained what she wanted to do before doing anything.

Nathan Mortenson

Definitely. When that girl sucked Jennifer into her genjutsu, I thought she was screwed! Plus, what if she freaked out and just erupted into flames right there in the park. You're supposed to handle this with a scaple, not a wrench.

Gezno

I can understand the therapist wanting to meet Jennifer on her own, but just shaking her hand and sucking her into another dimension was messed up. Introduce yourself, explain who you are and then ask her to go on a magic carpet ride. That's just good manners.

Randy Neal

Yes. They ambushed her with that shit. Not a great way to build trust.

Cheyenne Hacker

I think they were right to follow the professional advice of the caretaker they trusted to take care of their daugther. The therapist gave them a bad advice and was the one in the wrong imo.

Doby Greg

You never ever surprise someone with mental health worker. It’s a terrible idea in real life that never ends well, much like interventions

Andrew Courtney

bruh she was mad last season about them hiding things from her, so they probably should have discussed it first.

Angry bob ross

You have to be able to trust a therapist. Ambushes don't generally build trust.

Fajen Thygia

Yes. Definitely. Is it so hard? „Jenn, Gambi knows a Woman who could help you with your Powers. Wanna go?“

I don’t understand why they didn’t just talk to her about it. That was risky considering she attacked her mother by mistake, and they were in broad daylight.

LKG

You don't do that especially on the street with a stranger (I'm black you wouldn't have seen what hit ya)

Rix

No because it seems like at every turn they try to help her and she refuses to deal with the problem. When somebody refuses help doesn’t mean that they don’t need it.

Gavin Hardiman

As a parent and from what I know from my wife going to college for psychology it was a bad idea all around. The parents should be open with the daughter they are wanting to help and the woman helping should know that in order to build trust you need to make a formal introduction.

The 16bit Couple

Haven’t seen the episode yet but when my parents took me to a therapist outta the blue a couple years ago I was livid
