Rick Reacts: Game of Thrones 7x7 Early Access!

If your trio is planning to react to something else, I believe you'd highly enjoy Fate/Zero anime. Magically summoned legendary historical figures, with super powers representing their legend, fighting in a battle royale for the holy grail. Almost every fighter feels like a main character, with a lot of exposition and amazing art/animation. Most probably wouldn't mind if you grabbed Eric for the ride too, since I believe it'd also be his sort cup of tea :)

Is there a show these 3 can react to while we wait for a new season?

KingKoopa11

Jon and Dani have less than a year age difference ... Dani was born approx 7-9 months after the sack of kings landing...Jon was born just before or during the sack...

and seriously guys just stop crying/whining Rick and Lyssa like the show they never said they dont stop complaining that they like different things than you do and have fun with it in the way they want to watch such a dumb thing to complain about

MustacheKash

why did I think season 7 was 8 episodes and season 8 was gonna be 6 was that somehting they said a long time ago that they changed before season 7 and I just dont remember?

I think that there's a difference between marrying for love or refusing to resort to ruthless tactics, and charging blindly into an enemy army expecting to take them all out just by yourself. First two are mistakes, the third one is lunacy. And atleast in Cannae the Roman actions made sense. Just try to crush the enemy with superior numbers. In Battle of the Bastards, Jon's army abandons their plan, and just blindly charges into superior enemy who has larger numbers and is in better position. Then, surprise, gets surrounded. All because their leader suddenly believed he was a superman. There are no tactics or brilliant maneuvres like in Cannae. Just CTRL+A and right click like you can do in Total War games. You are right that it's visually very impressive, but I just don't like everything else.

Opinions? Are you giving them? haha

I'm sad with how the show ended Littlefinger so easily because he should've seen it coming a mile away. Will wait for where the books take his story though.

Cornberry

Littlefinger is usually pretty smart, if I was him, the moment Bran quoted what he said to Varys I would've been OUT of there.

Why can't you guys just either watch and enjoy the show, or just not watch it. Also, sorry to be the one to break it to you, but not everyone likes everything the same way you do! I like a lot of Rick's insights. I am not watching him for the crazy geek love that Eric has. If I wanted that, I would go watch his reactions.

I still don't get why Rick's so against the battle of the bastards, why is the Red Wedding a "ooh you've read about the black dinner" moment... but the Battle of the Bastards not a "ooh you've read about Hannibal's Battle of Cannae" moment.. the bodies piling up to the point of becoming an obstacle on the battlefield is straight out of history... using a shield wall crush, or double envelopment, to crush and suffocate the enemy is straight out of history, most famously at Cannae... there's plenty of moments in the battle that borrow from history... and finally, as for Jon's stupid "mistake", the Starks prioritizing honor and family first, to the point of it getting them killed every time, is consistent with the Stark's story up to that point...

It's not a historical drama but it is a show completely grounded in the reality that GRRM created. He even said himself that Game of Thrones is more of a History of his world than a typical story. It is the shows fault for making the wrong choices to suspend the viewers disbelief, it isn't Rick's. This isn't a show that asks you to turn off your brain, where you can just ignore all the flaws.

end, and no more rick :) he thinks this is a historical drama, it isnt. now the wait until the last season, and the reactions of the main 4 guys, good.

chris z

Rick asked, if there had been long nights before and how they survived them, the archmaester said earlier this season: "...And thousands of years before that, during the Long Night we could forgive them for thinking it was the end, but it wasn't, none of it was. The Wall has stood through it all, and every winter that ever came has ended."

Thanks for the whole series! It was a lot of fun to watch! Welcome to the wait for next season. :-(

Props to the editor(s) as per usual! Lessa, your reaction to the incest was priceless!
