This Danny Rand was great. Also all the minor connectivity in this episode was great. When Luke said Matt's name and when Danny said Jessica's name, that's all the connectivity I needed to get a mini nerdgasm.

This is one of my favorite episodes. I couldn’t wait for them to react to it, especially since they kept wishing Danny would appear. I loved how Mariah went off the deep end and how Anasei’s warnings to his nephew on how he would make things worse for them came true. Mariah is a terrible person, but she really did try to get out of the life and overcome her family’s sin. The tragedy of seeing how her attempts to escape it often end in failure do to either her being unable to control her anger (her killing Cornell when he accused her of wanting or seducing Pete when he knows full well she was raped) or implanting her own bad or dirty practice that she learned from her grandmother to try to do “right” and ends up making bigger trouble. As for the murdering of Bushmaster’s family and the other people while it was terrible I believe Bushmaster is equally as responsible. His inability to let go and keep insisting Mariah was the Stokes that destroyed his family made it a self fulfilling prophecy and he ended up making Mariah embrace her Stoke nature to the fullest and created the or recreated the same tragedy he wanted to avenge. In the end neither Mariah nor Bushmaster was able to get over their own tragic stories and let it define their lives and caught many people they loved in the crossfire. I have to disagree with Calvin on Mariah being a hypocrite for killing her cousin. That was a crime of passion brought on by Cottonmouth picking at a sensaitive subject. She was raped by Uncle Pete. Pete was the only one to encourage Cottonmouth unlike the grandmother, but to completely ignore what he did to Mariah or claim Mariah secretly wanted it then implied she had him killed for shits and giggles is extremely fucked up. As we saw in the aftermath Mariah was clearly horrified at what she did until Shades manipulated her and tried to turn her into Stokes, which is now backfiring on him, since he helped create a monster. Tilda treatment I definitely agree with though. She was always using Tilda to make her comeback as a public figure. I love that scene when she admitted to Tilda she could never love her because she saw Peter in her. The Stokes dark history continues to haunt the current generation of Stokes, but Harlem as a whole. That was a large reason why I loved this season.

This is my favorite episode, Luke and Danny are so fun together. If they replace the two shows for Heroes For Hire, I would be sooooo onboard for it.
