Tracey didn't really give Mal a chance to explain the plan and threatened his crew, which turned Mal into defensive mode

This episode is weird to me. I always felt the guy died for no reason. There was no great resonning to Mal making him think he was going to give him up. Funeral scene was nice tho.

I’d love to see Eric and Calvin, after the series is over, react to the “Nathan Fillion Firefly references on other shows” compilation. The “Castle” space cowboy Halloween one is the best :)

To add onto this, the last scene, in particular the music in the last scene (as it wasn't even fully composed until after the cancellation) were specifically intended as a funeral for the show

Also he did a lot of firefly references in Castle. He dressed as a Space Cowboy for Halloween, and his daughter in the show said to him "didn't you wear that same thing like 7 years ago?"

I love that you can hear Eric’s scream through the wall on the last “Attack on Titan” Video xD

It was in the middle of filming this episode they found out they were getting cancelled, which added to the somberness of the episode. They said they felt like they were having a funeral for the show.
