Eleanor is the worst.... 🤮

I actually felt Eleanor and Vane were two of a kind. More people love the latter of course (and I think he is a great character), but they are way more similar than dissimilar IMO. Charles screwing over Teach the first time for her is essentially the same as how Eleanor screwed over Charles for Max. Charles equally fucked things up as much as Eleanor in the first two seasons. Vane hacking Singleton to depose Flint and take his best crewmen which is similar to what Eleanor did to Hornagold and the fort. Charles repairing Jack’s rep purely to fulfill his part of Max’s deal. Granted I’m not saying Eleanor isn’t self-righteous or that people are wrong to dislike her. I’m just saying she and Vane are more similar than it appears and that Vane while cool is just as problematic as Eleanor in screwing things up in the first two seasons, but he gets a pass for being cool. I’ve noticed the crew tend to do this a lot. Araon had a good point last season when Shane blamed Eleanor for screwing things up when she kidnapped the girl on how she backed Flint up over Vane because Flint’s then plan of enacting Thomas’ plan made the most sense for the island over Vane’s.

Vane is an awesome character but it always seemed ridiculous him talking about freedom and tyranny. The freedom to steal and pillage, and the tyranny of being told not to? Yeah ok.

I actually kind of agree with the pastor here, to be honest. Vane is a great character and really easy to get attached to, but in the end he's still a murderous thief who ruined/ended the lives of plenty of innocent people for no reason other than because he wanted their stuff.

there it is...the one episode that is soo good and yet i hate it.you are right,vane is not in treasure island and word is he actually got hanged like this in real life.and finally the hate for eleanor is real!!i love it!! and yes she is such a hypocrit.back when she tool abygail from vane out of the fort he did warn her that he would retaliate.she had no problem leaving him there to die and now she is pissed because he did what he told her he would do??i hate that woman...and 3x10 is in my top 3 episodes of this show!!shit is gonna go down!!
