When she says I will do anything to keep John in the halway I think that shows that she is fine with killing Sherlock to keep John. So she took the risk and shot him to keep him out a while.

I don't like Mary being a some kind of intelligence agent. I liked her peronality and demoneor and would hvve prefer it being genuine. And I don't like how i portrays himself. Also she should have killed Magnussen. Innocenting John probably wouldn't be a big problem. And the mind palace as the last twist was not really satisfactory to me. I watch the episodes right before the reaction so for now my expectation for the next one is that Mycroft fake it to not have his brother killed.

This is the problem with Americans watching a British show. You’re not engulfed in our culture, like we are in yours. You seem to attribute everything to how it is in the US, not how it is in the UK.

Also the difference is in the UK we take scandals more seriously and they are more likely to ruin a career

Magnusson is based off the character of Charles Augustus Milverton in the books, who is a master blackmailer that Holmes is hired to shut down. In the end he's killed by a woman he blackmailed in the past before Holmes can incriminate him I think.

"He reminds me of Mads Mikkelsen" yup because that's his brother Lars Mikkelsen. :) They're both so fantastic at playing bad guys.
