I wonder if they'll release the two-parter at once or make us suffer for seven days.

Love this episode. It's been 5 years since me and my friends first watched Doctor Who and we still shout "Timelord Victorious!" whenever any of us win at something.

But also we will kind of get that next season with Eleven. The whole climax of A Good Man Goes To War is really all about that idea of the Doctor allowing his power and authority to grow to big and the ramifications of that; but I think the Shane and Eric will both really enjoy the ramp of to that given how much they love Badass Doctor moments. Can't wait for their reaction to The Pandorica Speech.

They can't, they need to finish season 3 of Torchwood before they get to End of Time part 2.

Seems to me that every time the Doctor says something is a fixed point he already knows the outcome, in this case he remembers seeing that news article. Normally if he were to change a fixed point it would create a paradox because he only did what he did because he knew about that particular outcome. If he actually creates the paradox you get the same situation as when Rose saved her dad. At this point though he seems to be thinking he can find a way around that, a way to "win" if he tries hard enough, it doesn't seem to be going well for him though does it?

You never got the input from Doctor Who fans about the clasic William Hartnell story 16 "The Chase" it tells about the Daleks creating their own time ship & chasing him through time. So yes the Daleks would know as much about what they could and could not do in time. As much as the Doctor would.

I think they forgot about the season 4 episode Planet of the ood and that ood sigma said his song would end soon. Anyway this is still my favourite episode great villain, great story and David Tennant with a knockout performance.

The argument or counterpoint I would say to Shane's point about allowing the Doctor to maintain the Philosophy of changing time however he wants is that would eventually make the doctor no better than the master. He would become the villain. We have seen the Doctor be all kinds of things but no matter what face he wears he is the hero, battle scars and all. I think that's why there is a discomfort watching him in this episode because even though we have that spark of how cool is this we also have the dread of knowing this isn't the doctor. This isn't who he is at the end of the day. But a good episode for him to have this moment as for most of us we know what is coming.

One of the guys mentioned that maybe time made the dalek leave and then also mentioned that the fixed point in time wouldn’t happen if the daleks won, which made me think. In the show they had mentioned all the coincidences that brought the doctor and Donna together which all came around Donna becoming the doctor Donna and saving the universe from the realty bomb, perhaps it was time that did all of that to make sure the fixed points stayed intact by creating a bunch of coincidences and using time to bring the doctor and Donna together, maybe that’s what dalek caan saw when he did the emergency temporal shift, he saw time and he saw it’s complicated workings and how it influenced time and that’s what drove him to insanity and made a dalek turn against the daleks, by seeing all of time and seeing that the daleks needed to be destroyed, little did he know he just saw what time was going to do, to protect itself from the fixed points being damaged, who knows maybe time is alive and dalek caan has become a part of time, ok this theory is getting weird now (just gonna say there are no spoilers in this, this is pure speculation from what the show has given us so far)

Why the Ood?where did it go? Powerful telepathic field sending a mental ptojection of sorts reminding him the time draws near.

Hands down one of Tennant's best. Such quintesential Doctor Who with the "fixed point in time" stuff, and such amazing performances from both Tennant and Lindsay Duncan,

My first comment was just so they could change title on Patreon side once you load video title is right. It was just mistitled here and didn’t want viewers to be confused. At first I was like did I miss them doing a whole season lol.

The actor playing the Russian was Serbian btw Slavic accents in English tend to be similar so I imagine he does a better job of it than a British or American actor would.

I like to think that the TARDIS knew The Doctor was "On the Edge" and took him to Mars at that particular time knowing what would happen and knew The Doctor needed the shock to pull him back from becoming The Master 2.0.

Do you think they should watch the Sarah Jane Adventures crossover? I believe it's somewhere in the timeline after this, but before the finale. He was very ominous about his future in that crossover.
