Black Lightning 1x4 Poll!

I don't think him keeping secrets is because of sinister reasons, I think he might think the other things going on would be a distraction, or would more likely result in his death which Gambi seems to care about Jefferson but I wouldn't be surprised later down the road we will learn more about Gambi

Gambi is being too mysterious. I do not believe his motives are sinister, but I do not like how he is being so dishonest with Jefferson about important stuff.

I think he believes that if Jefferson finds out anissa has powers he'll try to benched and that he'll need all the help he can get

I think he's doing it to keep Jefferson as Black Lightning. If he finds out Whale is all alive, he'll stop at noting to put him down. At that point, he'll either die or quit again, and Gambi will do anything to prevent him giving up Black Lightning again.

I don’t think they are sinister as so they are more to protect Black Lightning as a hero. If Jefferson found out that the person he thought was dead really wasn’t he would go off the deep end. And if he found out that someone else had powers then he could either feel grateful that someone else knows what he is going through (until he learns it’s his daughter) or go all I’m doing this alone, and completely push the person away to the point he creates his own enemy.

Also, with the Caleel thing, he and Jess have been friends for a long time, they mentioned that in the second episode just before he asked her out. But yeah, it's a difficult choice to have to tell your kid they're gonna have to cut back how often they help them out at the hospital so that they can focus on themselves.

The way they're showing it so much, they're trying to make it seem sinister, but I think his intentions are pure. I expect Jefferson will feel betrayed by the lie all the same, though

I don't think so. With the daughter thing, he didn't seem to know it was her. It seems like he took a picture of the foot imprint so analyze it. He might be worried someone could be strong enough to kill Jefferson.

I put No but the Actor playing him can be a good guy or a villain in things. I think he could be involved with something illegal but could be he knows of allot of new heroes or people with powers and its not just Lightnings Daughter.

I can see Jefferson and Anissa working well together once the secret comes to light, but whenever Jen starts developing her powers I can see her going full rogue.

I don't think it's anything sinister but I don't like Gambi lying to Jefferson. Honesty is always best...Unless it's your daughter and you don't want her to get hurt. (I know that sounds hypocritical, cuz it is, but I get it, both Jefferson and Anissa want to protect there loved ones and the city.)

I think he doesn’t want him to see this footage because it’ll make him just want revenge again and stop helping others in the process to jus get Tobias, as for the daughter footage I’m not sure why.

I just don't know one way or the other. I voted no, but that might not be the case, he did want Black Lighting back. and when he saw our main bad guy in the car he did say sorry as he deleted the video. it could go either way.

I think Gambi it trying to protect Jefferson from Whale and the new superhuman. Whale almost killed him previously. He is not sure if the new superhuman is good or not.

I think he saw footage of Jefferson's daughter and didn't say anything because he either wants her to come out and tell Jefferson herself. Or he's just waiting for the right time to tell Jefferson himself. I don't think he's a bad guy.

I think he just wants to keep Jefferson on track and not put too much on his plate while he’s still a little rusty. A new person with powers and Tobias back in action would just be too much right now.

While i havent watched episode 4 yet, in 3 when he said "sorry jefferson" and deleted the video of tobias, i think that he believes that if he showed it to him his need for revenge may re-emerge since i believe it was said that jefferson first became black lightning to kill tobias for driving his father to kill himself i think.
