My first issue and main issue was the judge keeping him and saying it was an attempted murder. But then I remembered “devoe” said something about overhearing framing someone. Sure i think i should have taken more time to get a full testimony, but since when has the flash drawn out a situation when the solution is already presented, unlike some shows.

Devoe lied about Barry killing him so team flash can lie about devoe till being alive.

Of course not! What Team Flash did was legal-ish, and it didn't hurt anyone (except maybe Mrs. Devoe's heart), so I don't see why he would have any issues.

Its not like with Joe where he attempted to plant evidence. Also, on the subject of clifford and marlize, I think he's lying about not knowing what's going to happen next but instead is going off on his own plan and isn't letting her in on it

He said he wouldn't leave the prison unless they found a legal way to release him. Technically they committed perjury which is illegal but the court's ruling was legal. But Barry's reason for wanting to be imprisoned were steeped in morality. Therefore, he should have a roblem with the method they used to clear him since the act of perjury is immoral.

I mean, they're not lying. DeVoe IS alive. Also, am I the only one who thinks it weird that the writers have DeVoe jumping from body to body, instead of absorbing powers like Sylar from Heroes? Now he's in the body of the girl who is 4'11" and sounds like a chipmunk. How is that going to intimidate anyone? Lol. He will probably go through all of them, ending on Ralph, so that he can use Ralph's ability to look like anyone and be indestructible.

He wanted to be let out the legal way, through a court of law, which he was. He wasn't referring to them doing so legally, just that he wanted to be named an innocent man in the eyes of the law. LEGAL = Court, ILLEGAL = Breaking out; simple to understand.

He only wanted to be released legally, this counts even though it's fake, remember all evidence to put him in prison in the first place was fake.

He shouldn’t have a problem with it. The team technically didn’t lie: Clifford DeVoe IS alive and well, and Barry Allen WAS framed for a crime he didn’t commit. The only lie was that DeVoe himself wasn’t really the one bringing this information forward.

I think we have already seen why DeVoe wants Ralphs power, it will allow him to go back to his own perfect form, it will allow him to go back to looking like a healthy DeVoe so that his wife can feel comfortable looking into the face of the man she married, as opposed to him now looking like a little blonde chick

No because, yes it is in some what not legally ok however, when Barry said “get me out legally” I think he only meant that he would only leave if the court would let him which they did.

Seeing as DeVoe is still alive, the judge wasn’t technically misled. They just gave the judge evidence he would believe. Barry served time. They used the law (and Ralph) to their advantage but it was still done as legal as it could be done.

I think all Barry wanted was for them to get him out through the court system so he wouldn't be a fugitive. Team flash didn't lie, Devoe is still alive. And did the judge not hear Cecial when she pretty much shouted, "nope not devoe its ralph!"

Even if DeVoe is actually alive Ralph still stole his identity and told a fake story to the judge. Just because DeVoe is alive and stealing identities doesn't make what Ralph did legal.

“I won’t lie to get out of this!...But I never said you couldn’t lie for me.” Even if you want to say that it’s fine because DeVoe is actually alive anyway, the story Ralph told about hearing his wife say they’d frame someone and then him waking up at home is all a lie.

He shouldn't, but he most likely will have a problem with it, because they didn't prove that he was innocent, but they tricked the court and therefore got him out by lying.

About Devoe getting the tears, Dominic's telepathy seems like the key component to transfer his consciousness and meta abilities from body to body, so it should be safe to assume that when he captured the crying guy he never had the means to take his body so Devoe would have harvested the tears through other means

Of course not, he just doesn’t want to be a fugitive, but he was still framed to go to prison. DeVoe IS still alive, so they are not even tecnically lying, they are actually revealing something that the court doesn’t know, and in a clever way!

It makes sense that Defoe wants Ralphs body/powers as he can then morph into his old body and no one will question that hes alive again because Ralph has already outed him for being alive in that court session

It wouldn't make any sense for him to be upset about it. He said that it had to be solved legally specifically because he didn't want to be a fugitive for the rest of his life. Now, while it may not have been, in the strictest sense, *legal*, it was still done through the legal system, and as far as anyone is concerned, he's innocent. That's what he was really wanting.

Barry wanted his name cleared legally so that he wouldn't be on the run and technically they did clear his name legally so I see no reason for him to not be okay with what they did.
