In an alternate universe, I'd want to watch the original Back to the Future when Eric Stoltz played Marty instead of Michael J Fox. I'm just so curious to see how bad it would've been with someone else in that role!!

An easy way to understand it (for them, not you), albeit a little incorrect is to think of it like this; There are an infinite amount of numbers between 1 and 2 (1, 1.1, 1.11, etc.) and none of them are 3. This shows how you can have infinite universes but not every possible universe at the same time.

I think that the discourse that rick made when he explained why the battery worked for Morty can actually be applied to rick and his universe, he already broke the fourth wall a lot of times, so what if he knows that his universe could be destroyed if he’s not funny enough? And even if he’s the smartest of ricks and he’s borderline immortal because he’s the protagonist he feels like he’s a joke because his existence is there just to entertain his gods, the audience. This was pretty visible in season one and in the promotional commercials, but since season two the ratings were well so rick and Morty are safe, and that’s why their adventures are way more crazier (even tho that’s subjective). That’s just my theory anyway

As a mathematician, the discussion at the end amuses me. But yes, there are difference sizes of infinity. Without any technical details, the idea behind it is that one way you can think of the size of a set is to put it in correspondence with another set you've already assigned a size. Like say you have a bag of marbles, with 10 marbles in it. You can take a specific marble and call it marble 1, another marble 2, etc to marble 10. This seems useless with finite sets, but when you get to infinite sets, interesting things happen. Take the even numbers for example. 2 is the first even number, 4 is the 2nd even number, 6 is the 3rd, etc. In this way, for each number 1, 2, 3... can each be assigned 1 and only 1 even number, so we can say that the set of even numbers and natural numbers have the same size. But you can show that not all infinite sets have the same size in this sense
