I cry at this episode literally every time and I must have watched it about ten times. Have been so “looking forward” (weird to say) to see your reaction and I was not disappointed! I wanted to reach into the screen and just hug wee Calvin! Bless his beard, like! (Btw, the soap opera scene from the previous episode is from Eastenders, massive in the UK for reasons unknown as it is shit like all soap operas, but the actress is Barbara Windsor (no relation) from the Carry On films and a British “icon”.)

Eric cries every now and then but it’s rare to see Shane get emotional and seeing him get really emotional fucked me up man.

I love how emotional this show can get. There's tons of silliness and somehow it finds its way into our feels. Just look at Calvin bawling... <3

Oh dear. Here we go again. Here are the tears (I'm glad Clavin joined me on that one too). So, when I first watched s2, I knew that Rose was going to leave, but I didn't know when. And for some reason I didn't figure out that it would be much more sensible for her to leave at the end of the series, so every single episode of s2 I sat and was tense with a horrible feeling in my stomach, just waiting for it to happen. It was kind of awful. Then when it actually did happen... Wow. I watched it in the middle of the night (way later than I was allowed to be up back then) and cried all the way to school the next morning. I was really affected. And Rose isn't my favorite companion, but back then she was, much like Eric and Shane, my ONLY companion, and I loved her. And I had such a hard time letting her go.
This episode is brilliant even without all that though. As Eric said, the pacing is great, they manage to squeeze so much in there. And I'm so glad at how emotional (both good and bad) they got in this episode. PETE! YVONNE CYBERMAN! JACKIE AND PETE REUNION! And yet, when you get to that scene with the magnet clamps and Rose is holding on but you know she can't... My stomach still hurts and I hold my breath, even though I know how it's going to go. Every time, that scene brings back those feelings for me. That's some good storytelling.
That being said, I'm so excited for you to go forward in this show (even if we have to wait a week), and I think there are many more emotional moments to come. Or rather, I know there are. Doctor Who is a show of constant change, and part of change involves letting go and moving forward. But you can still look back on the past fondly, as long as you don't get stuck there. So I can't wait for us to move forward. I think it's going to be amazing.

I didn't like the traffic jam episode. It was pretty turrable in my opinion. There's important stuff mixed in, but the episode itself? Not that great.

Seeing you get so emotional over Rose's end was interesting actually + I didn't expect it. But, I hate to say it, this isn't the even the worst of the emotional moments to come...

I just had a good laugh when I looked up Nellie from The Office, since I haven't really watched that show. On the Wikipedia page for the character, it says her full name is Eleanour Donna "Nellie" Bertram. Catherine Tate's character in Doctor Who is named Donna.
I see what you did there, Office writers. ;)

Only two episodes in Doctor Who have ever made me cry, both of them were David Tennant episodes and this was the first. It was weird cause I started laughing when the bride appeared so I was crying and laughing.
