(Oops, I'm a day late)
And the Lovecraft 5 is late, too. But i will keep working away at it.
Now the long drop into the new year begins, and I feel a lot of writing coming on.
Still trying to think of a Lovecraft story with an actual "ghost" aspect to it. Maybe it isn't meant to be, but I have a reason.
Maybe I just haven't had my caffeine yet.

Working away on the next Lovecraft 5, and my armor, but not ignoring the world around.
I'm almost able enough to attend a protest sometime, but drove by and encouraged the nearest one. [Yes, I am a rabid leftist. I believe in human rights and that the government is supposed to serve US. Fight me.]
Still seeking work, but have some good nibbles. Cat is trying to keep me holding her all the time (she just turned 18) since it turned chilly out.
LOL - not sure what I meant t...

it's all been a bit overwhelming recently - the news, not my personal life, and whichever news you favor, it's enough to make you want to stick your head in a hole and hope it passes by.
we all have coping mechanisms, and some get wildly creative under pressure and others take comfort in everyday minutiae. I find physical projects clear my mind for mental endeavors later.
so for the moment i am making a piece of cosplay armor - a vest - that I will expand on later, but I think ...

I've been offered a chance to do a show on online radio, live or recorded, and I don't know what to do.
Making something in advance - well, I'm already not making anything right now, so that's unlikely, but doing something live (or more or less live, like performing the show, then editing out the bits that are too boring) might be interesting.
I'm still hesitant to commit until I'm certain i will do something, but maybe just reviews of movies and audio dramas, or readings from ra...

A Dinner Date with Murder by Harry Stein
It caught my fancy a while back and while it wouldn't fit Atomic Julie, who can resist a chance to play tough guys?
I have three fairly timely scripts in the "ripped from the headlines" sort of style that i am trying to finish up - and make the episodes before they are old news... LOL

The latest Madison on the Air "The Six Shooter" came out this week, and I'm in it, along with Scott R. McKinley.
I'm getting some new Atomic Julie stories ready, but having trouble going through my old files and finding the cover art template. So silly a problem, but I have so many backups.
So, soon....

Friday, there's another episode of Project Audion, re-creating old time radio stories. This is a newly-written episode of The Great Gildersleeve, a family sitcom, and I'm in it!!
It will be available on the Project Audion YouTube channel after Friday.
I'm working on writing something for PA, but I picked an old time series that is pretty specialized, and will have to be really carefully crafted.

We read a script from season 1 of Fatal Girl at cold read on Sunday. It was so much fun - especially the comments from some of the more recently added readers, who i believe are among a much more recent generation than I am.
One thing that stood out, for this old biddy, was their concern at a relationship between a man of 23 and a woman of 18 or 19. They thought the age gap was creepy.
When did this happen and no one told me?
For much of the 20th century, a similar gap, ...

Anyone who wants to join, even to listen to rough readings of scripts (new and old), can drop in to the 19 Nocturne Discord channel on Wednesdays at 6pm, and Sundays at 1pm (pacific time zone). And if you would like to read a role with us, that's open to anyone as well!
I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but like to remind everyone. I would record the readings, but most actors want to be heard at their best, not in a rough first read setting.

I've been on such a variety of writing stints that I apologize i forgot to post the last three scripts for May the Oysters Grieve!
Will do that now.
On an unrelated note, I love the TV show Leverage, and just saw there's going to be a third season of Leverage: Redemption (the reunion show) coming!
Just as I cancel my Amazon Prime.
Of course.
But I also found that there's a version of Leverage that was made in Korea, and I bought the DVDs online, and it's inter...

UNCLE GEORGE'S HOUSE PARTY
That's the name of the script, but long before that, it was a scenario I published in Serendipity's Circle (1996-2000), the gaming zine Steve and I made in support of RPGs before they were called TTRPGs. We specialized in weird games - anything that WASN'T swo...

Wow, writing a simple serial like Adventure is on the Horizon, with a straightforward main plotline and minimal main characters is so much easier than keeping all the actually important throughlines in Fatal Girl moving and functioning as I re-order episodes and shift stories around in the season two scripts.
There is just so much going on! A bit of it was hinted in season 1, but a lot came as I finished scripting that, so there was also a lot of back-checking, to make sure anything i ...

Also have a line on a couple of possible helpers to do some sound editing for stuff I have. Also awesome!

I've been compiling a list on Podchaser of Audio Drama podcasts. I'm adding a few every day, and have hundreds and hundreds to share from my days running ADInfinitum.
Check it out, if you want to find something new to listen to (at least until the next episode of your favorite!)

Been finishing Oysters! I'm up to 10 of 13 and have tightened up a lot, and have a clear path to the finale I've always planned. It will go out with a bang. I hope to get a couple more down at karaoke tonight.

Also writing on a couple of newer longer pieces. Its the sound editing that holds me up. I need to find some people who want to learn the basics so that I can teach them in return for helping, or something like that.

Fingers crossed this just keeps getting better.
My determination is to try and write or dictate (it's not the same skill, somehow!) for at least an hour each day. One scene, no matter how bad, something.
And mixing - I need to try and mix for an hour each day too. Get those mixing muscles back into shape.
I just spent just over a week basically trapped at home by a dead car (fixed this morning), and a hurt foot (still working on that). Managed to get absolutely nothing do...

I have an outline for a whole new horror movie (well, an audio drama, but maybe a four part movie length one) fully formed and ready to flesh out!!! Now to name the characters so i can kill them all horribly... also have to create a lovely local legend of a lake monster. Yay!!!
now to just find the time. lol
I hate working retail.

I've started outlining some more scripts. Sound editing is still slow and hard to get around to doing (without falling asleep), but writing almost always flows.
I have a couple of ideas for the Gretal & Hansel spinoff of the B&B Investigations series. The original episode "Hot Ginger Bread" was meant as a bit of a joke, like what if the 1940s noir world of B&B moved forward into the 70s and became the fairy tale setting's 1970s? So, like Starsky & Hutch, I came up w...
