Hey guys, I'm just became a patron. If you don't mind me asking, where do I find your full reactions or do I have to wait a bit??

Two things I absolutely adore from this episode: 1) The Time-police dude has the head of a f*king Langolier (for any Stephen King fans out there that remember that movie lmao), and 2) the empty space of Uncertainty is filled with grayish, zombie-like Schrödinger cats, half of which are alive and kicking, and half of which that aren't.

Not exactly. "Unnatural causes" is a category that includes murder, suicide, and accidents. "Natural causes" is a category that includes everything else. Most death certificates state the category and then give more detail. Doctors use the categories as well as the police--for example, if you're looking at death stats to figure out how lethal a particular disease is, you want to leave out all the people who died of unnatural causes because they would skew the results.

Uninformed person chiming in: I think "natural causes" is a police term, not a medical term. Natural causes = someone did not kill that person. When doctors describe death they don't refer to natural causes they say death caused by heart failure or asphyxiation or organ failure or whatever. They don't say "he died of natural causes". That's what police officers say in press statements when they don't believe any foul play was involved.

Ok its really bothering me, can anyone else hear audio in the background during the episode discussion after the reaction? It sounds like a TV is on in another room or something.

Dying of "natural causes" is more about the context of your death than the cause. When people say aging they are usually refering to the ways the body deteriorates from long term use. If, say, someone who is really old dies of a common illness we would say that is a natural cause because it is common for someone of that age not to be able to combat the disease. Conversely if someone of a younger age dies of heart failure it is labeled unnatural because they are young and thus should be unaffected by deterioration caused by aging. It would be more likely, and is more common in the US, that the cause of the heart failure is directly linked to poor eating choices.

I wished they left the part where Rick mathematically proves that there both pieces of shit. Well now I gotta upgrade my pledge to see the full reaction

Incorrect. Nowhere in the show does it say Rick was gone Morty's whole life. It was just some advert put on the back of the DVD box, that was written back during the pilot, before the rest of the show was written. I'm not saying you're for sure wrong. Only that there is no way to be sure in the show itself, and you shouldn't treat it like absolute fact.

'A disease process that has progressed and caused organ failure is usually the root of the natural cause. These are usually pre-existing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, COPD. The disease processes most commonly associated with natural causes of death are heart disease and cancer. Others include stroke, Alzheimer’s Disease, and genetic disorders such as cystic fibrosis' WRONG SHANE WRONG. #NotDamnitCalvin

Eric was correct, Rick has memories of Morty as a baby even though in Morty and his family's original universe Rick was missing for Morty's entire lifetime... Obviously that means "our Rick" took over a different Rick's family/universe, and "our Morty" isn't Rick's original Morty.

I'm glad you guys spent a good 25% of the episode determining what it means to die of natural causes.

Unnatural death is a category used by coroners or medical examiners and vital statistics specialists for classifying all human deaths not properly describable as death by natural causes. It would include events such as: accident. drug abuse. execution.

A death by natural causes, as recorded by coroners and on death certificates and associated documents, is one that is primarily attributed to an illness or an internal malfunction of the body not directly influenced by external forces. Contrary to the statement before, everything is natural at some point. For example, a person dying from complications from influenza (an infection) or a heart attack (an internal body malfunction) or sudden heart failure would be listed as having died from natural causes.

BTW, Heart Disease is a natural cause of death. It's internal. Age doesn't determine what's natural and what isn't.

But if he dies of over eating then it's his fault, he's acted apon a natural system and made it unnatural. Humans couldn't typically find things that are that high in calories in the wild back in the day.

The theory about Rick being around for baby Morty is that this Rick is from a different dimension. Yes, him and Morty have traveled to a different dimension together, but the theory is that he replaced a Rick before the Cronenberg situation. Therefore, his memories don't sync up with the rest of the family's, including Morty.

Natural cause is anything biological that kills you, with no outside interference! Age does not factor, so all diseases are natural causes, including cancers and congenital disorders. Someone shooting you or hitting you with a car is unnatural.

it's the best when Aaron is so sure he's right about something but we all know and they all know he's wrong
