I really miss season one reactions. Damn. I love your reaction, guys. I like season 2. But I don't watch the reaction/discussion several times a day as I did while you were reacting to season one, waiting for the next friday. I still rewatch them. I wish the full lenght tier would have started before. I am pathetic :(

Vatuu and Unalaq are in the spirit world. Unalaq used the portal to enter the spirit world PHYSICALLY so he gets to keep his bending. Korra and Jinora accessed the spirit world through meditation which allows their SPIRITS to cross over, but leaves their bodies behind so they CANNOT bend. And to clarify: The spirit world and the physical world existed separately in the beginning and did not connect. Vatuu said he was the one that "Broke THROUGH the barrier separating the worlds", therefore, creating the portals and allowing spirits and humans to meet and cross between the worlds...

Previous Avatar's descendants teaching the current Avatar continues. Roku's great grandson teaches Aang fire bending and now Aang's granddaughter teaches Korra how to enter the Spirit World. I love how the past lives slip into the present Avatar's life.

Vaatu was actually the one who caused the spirit world and material world to mesh so he didn't create the spirit world but he was the reason the spirit wilds existed in the human world

also vatu is in the spirit world but he 's near the two portals to the human world

guys Vattu did not create the spirit world. it already existed just a lot of spirit lived in the physical world. when Wan closed the portals he had the spirits go back their. it wasn't created right then and there

In winter solstice episode of ATLA they made it seem like the spirit world is part of the physical world which kinda confused me. I still don't understand how a physical person can see someone's spirit in the spiritworld. Shouldn't it just be a ghost?

The discussion is always great but sometimes you guys are OVERanalyzing. It's all pretty simple if you just take what they give you. And Vaatu is in the Spirit World, there is no "third plane". Love that you guys are so interested and invested in the series though. Can't wait as we move on through the series! Oh and think about adding Voltron: Legendary Defender when you have another empty slot. Made by same studio who did Korra, founded by the animation director of Avatar.

You guys are making this more complicated than it is lol. When you enter through the portal, it is your actual body that enters, when you meditate it is only your spirit, that's why Unalaq was able to bend. Remember Aang couldn't while in the spirit world? Vaatu is trapped in the spirit world by the two entrances. There's no in between. There's the spirit world, and the human world.

The difference is between going through the portal and meditating into the spirit world is that fact that going through with a physical body allows for the person to be able to bend. Remember how when Sokka was taken into the Spirit world and Aang followed and tried to airbend but couldn't. Also the other portal is for the northern portal, the plane that Vaatu is in is the Spirit world.
