It's pretty common, especially in fantasy set in modern times. In the Dresden Files, Odin (Norse), Santa Claus (Christian), and the King of the Winter Sidhe (Gaelic/Celtic) are all the same person. In the late 90s, Zauriel (a Christian angel), Wonder Woman (who gets her power from the Greek gods), and Orion (one of the New Gods) were all on the Justice League at the same time. Etc.

Matt first tracked the hand fighters via their heartbeats, when they started hiding it he was using their weapons(swords) and then they stopped using them(In the underground tunnel fights). That's when stick taught him to listen to their breaths because they still need to exhale while fighting.
Elektra got superhuman strength after her resurrection, you could see it in the fight between her and matt at midland circle, she kicked him into the bookshelf like 3-5 feet off the ground

One minute, I remember the television show Hercules, Hercules went to see oden, Thor, the God's of the vikings. So two different god's or a half god of one belief system & another can be in the same story.

I would recommend adding subtitles, when Murakami talks on Japanese they translate it, knowing what he says give more meaning to the talk, you can still understand without it, but it helps
