If you pay attention, you see him look back when he was going down the alley because he did know he was being followed. That's why he started moving faster.

Matt didn't lose Jessica. That moment when he stopped on the sidewalk and focused on her footsteps he realized she was circling around behind him. That was why he sped up, went into that alley way and parkoured his way out of there to try and lose her. As for the camera, I'm sure he did hear it but wasn't expecting she would be able to recognize him. He put away his stick and glasses (which she would have recognized) and then moved in a way that most blind people wouldn't be able to. He destroyed the camera when he realized that she was smart enough to put 2 and 2 together.

Cool reaction guys, I think daredevil being mat Could as you say hear Jessica and her foot steps behind him, & Could even hear the camera going off. But was hoping she was farther then she was. When she finally tells him she has pictures he smashed the camera exposing the film thereby protecting his identity.

Matt was only concerned about getting Jessica off of his tail earlier. Once she was not able to follow him, he was then able to follow her by being more careful and from a further distance. (Or as Calvin pointed out, from the 'roof tops' or other methods). So Matt showing up makes sense simply because Jessica showed up. Once he realized which building she was going into, he knew from DD season 2 that it was NOT a place to be.

Jessica being able to take pictures and Matt not knowing she took the pictures or following him I feel like is BS I mean he can hear a silencer but can't hear the footsteps of the women he was following or the sound of a camera going off.

Matt knows that location is owned by The Hand, he was there when it was just a hole in the ground... He tells Jessica, "I've been here before, you're in serious danger"... He could have either followed her or showed up there knowing Jessica's investigation would lead her there.

Daredevil is there, at least in part, because The Hand is involved. Outside of Iron Fist, no one else has lost as much to The Hand as he has. He's seen with Stick, the attack on the hospital, Nobu and so much more about what they are capable of. I'm pretty sure the reason he was at Midland was because he was following Jessica too. As for the alley scene I mean like one of you guys said he seemed surprised by how observant she was and it didn't seem like he knew she was maneuvering behind him at first. Plus what's he going to do? He can't do anything flashy to get out of that crowd of people and he realized she knew he was there too. It makes sense to me, he was following her at first and you could tell by the look on his face and what he was hearing that he noticed her maneuvering behind him and then he was trying to get away from her before she caught up to him.
