Absolutely love Wardruna! The show introduced me to them and man, the feelings their songs give me. They awaken something primal and strong.

If you guys are interested in the music from the show, you should check out the band Wardruna from Norway. The show uses samples from their albums for the more "organic" sounding music. If you pay attention, you can see a clear distinction between the show's score and Wardruna's music. Each of their songs are based on the idea of conjuring the feeling/atmosphere of a particular rune or some other important concept from the Old Norse religion. They also use some very interesting historical instruments. Cheers.

Not true. There is no evidence that this was accepted by the Church. It was banned on the time of Constantine already. The show writer has a boner against Christians, but this one was a very odd alteration of history.

Christians oddly enough did crucify people in the exact same way as Christ was. Seems weird that their saviour's death became a punishment for (usually) those that followed his faith
