2017-07-13 21:18:26 +0000 UTCThe crew kept saying Toast and I'd forgotten that's what they'd namned Torstig so I was very confused... :P And yeah, Eric put it pretty well. Floki has in bits and pieces been shown to be very religious, and it comes to the forefront in this episode. Like, all of the Vikings that we've seen do believe (well, we do know that the Earl had a bit of doubt at one point), but it's kind of like their every day life, but Floki is SUPER religious. And he's clearly seen as that by the rest of the people as well. He's the local weird guy, sure, but he's probably seen as having a special connection to the gods (and not just because of his name, but that's probably part of it), and that might be one of the reasons he is "the weird guy". I think he took what Rollo did as an insult on the Gods' behalf, and he's also not going to make light of it like Rollo did, because to Floki it isn't something to be made light of. Rollo went through a ceremony baptising him into another faith, and according to Floki, that's betraying their Gods. I guess. That was always my take on it. And yeah, I think you guys will get really into this show as it goes along. It'll be a fun ride! Maybe I will actually keep up with it as well this time...
