This is 1 of the best episodes of this season. I love the way they showed how dangerous and scary the Daleks are despite their sometimes silly appearance by how scared The Doctor was of it. I love how deep they go into The Doctor's feelings about the Time War and the Daleks. Also the reveal that he was the one who ended the Time War was incredible because of how intense the scene was. This episode does a good job of showing how broken The Doctor is right now because of the War. The way Dalek kills people is horrifying but well done such because it makes it such a good villain. I think the most powerful line in this episode was the Dalek saying "You would make a good Dalek" to The Doctor. Also it was super sad and horrifying when it's revealed the Dalek wants to die because it's changed too much from using Rose to heal itself. It's sad because despite the terrible things it did in the past and present it looks to be in so much pain and horrifying because it shows how messed up the Dalek's viewpoint is especially because it's the same for the entire species. I love this reaction and your analysis was good and interesting. I can't wait for the next reaction. :-) <3

Hi Jojoin Space, I just came back to correct some misspelling on my part. Ian Chesterton was with Barbara when both got off the tardis & was set down back in London. Ian played by William Russell &Barbara played by Jaqueline Hill Susan Foreman left in Daleks invasion of earth. Did you know a Dalek would kill other Daleks because one had pincers & the other had feeler's ?

Idk, this episode just made a huge impact on me as a kid, it was the one that actually hooked me to the show, and it has remained one of my favorites until this day. (And it's originally based on a Sixth Doctor audio story I think? Fun fact.)

Aw, Eric and Shane's very first Dalek!
I've been looking forward to this, and it was a lot of fun. Aaron's small smiles and looks throughout the episode are amazing. And I agree, the dalek is kind of funny looking, but the Doctor's reaction makes it a lot scarier. I was terrified of it the first time I watched this. We just having seen such a strong reaction from the Doctor before, so it makes an impact, and it helps introduce the new viewers to Daleks actually being a force to be reckoned with.
I'm having so much fun going back through these, and I'm glad you guys are too. (I'm still really curious as to how much of New Who Calvin has watched??)

Time Lords all travel through time, or they can, but they try to stick to there none involvement rule. The Daleks have also had time travel, from William Hartnell's time as the doctor, in the chase "the Daleks were chaseing them throughout time &Barbara and Ian . Were dropped off," to the daleks master plan which had a weapon which would age you. And on up to today. I don't know why any one didn't say anything.
