Brings back old memories of my first game. Back up characters are a good idea when your first starting out. It's no fun to lose your only character at the beginning of the night and having to be a spectator for the rest of the session.

I've never played or watched a tabletop game before but this was great. You guys should check out those Star Wars tabletop games, I don't know if they're any good but I've seen the game pieces for sale on Amazon (various space ships made of metal) and they look very cool.

If you're looking for some interesting one-shot RPGs to play, I highly suggest the works of Grant Howitt. He has a series of FREE one-page RPGs and several more in-depth ones that have really fun mechanics. Highlights include Honey Heist, where you're trying to complete a complex heist but are hindered by being literal bears, One Last Job, where the details of your character are only fleshed out when someone else insults you, Goblin Quest, where you are all goblins trying to complete a simple task like open a jar of pickles, and Warrior Poet, where all actions are resolved by writing haikus. This is a lot of fun. I have very little experience with RPG table top in my life, just because I've never gotten the chance to play, didn't have any friends who were interested, so I'm just going to experience this through you guys. :D

In the D And D game I remember playing you could make them any race you want and give them least one weapon when you did your character building. I played A Death Knight one time with a plus 3 magical weapon.

I actually really enjoyed all of this and i can't wait to see more.

The level 0 stuff is pretty rules lite. Once they hit level 1 the system fleshes out.

Why dont they just play dungeons and dragons for this seems like a water down version of that and when i played D and D it was in the 90s.
