RWBY 3x5 Reaction Early Access!

I just worked out that the crew should be finished (on youtube)with Volume 3 on the 31st of January 2017, and they would've caught up with Volume 4 on the 25th of April 2017. (this does not include them watching RWBY Chibi).

Hey Trent a lot of the things you mentioned about the connection with characters I even didn't pick up on that and I love RWBY seen it multiple time. Maybe they're just not picking up on some of the clues.

I love how the episode starts with Penny completely destroying team Cardinal without breaking a sweat metaphorically speaking. I love how once the battle ends Ruby goes to see Penny. I love how Penny greets Ruby with a tackle hug. I think Penny's handler prides herself on being on time and having information on everybody. Also this is a longshot but because she wears blue and Ciel's name can mean heaven maybe she's the blue fairy. I also kind of want to know if Penny will have a Jiminy Cricket figure. I also find it strange how Ciel is more of a robot then Penny. I really hope eventually Penny will get to stay at Beacon. I love how the members of team FNKI are completely not what you would expect from a team from Atlas. I love how Flynt Coal will never die and Neon Katt is inspired by J-Pop and Nyan Cat. I love how Flynt uses a trumpet for a weapon that uses dust to create sound waves. I really feel bad for Weiss when he mentions the questionable business practices the Schnee dust company uses because you can tell she is ashamed and sincerely sorry about what happened to his father’s dust shop. I love how quickly Neon gets under Yang's skin with her comments. I don't think she is being mean I think she has no filter and wanted to keep Yang distracted by pissing her off. I love the song during the fight and the jazz versions of This will be the Day and I Burn. I love the fight but especially the cool attacks. I also love how we get to see wind dust. I love Flynt's semblance and how at 1st Neon is running circles around Yang. I also love how Neon's weapons are glow stick nunchucks that use ice dust. I love how we see how noble Weiss is when she sacrificed herself to try to take out Flynt. I like how even with aura he didn't get knocked out by being engulfed with lava. I love how when Weiss gets taken out Yang gets control of herself to win. I also love the clever reference to the Hulk. I love how Neon loses because of how much damage Yang did to the terrain. I love how the Weiss the whole team rushes to her side. I love how at the end of the fight Weiss is acknowledged for herself and not her father. I am really worried about Penny now that Cinder knows about her but I hope because she has an aura and a soul I hope she can resist whatever Cinder has planned. I like the hints about the Guardian and the reference to Ironwood being based on the Tin man. I think that Pyrrha being the guardian is a red herring but I also don't think Ruby is either. Also that smile at the end leaves me with 2 theories. The one I think is probably going to be right is that it's meant to mislead us and it's just a confident smile. The other theory that I really like is that Neo is impersonating Pyrrha to frame her for something. A theory on semblances that I heard is that Penny's semblance is the ability to control all metals.

So, this was the episode I figured out that Ironwood is the Tin Man with Qrow's line about his heart. Oz is the wizard, Glynda is Glynda, Qrow is the Scarecrow. That begs the question, who is the Wicked Witch and the Cowardly Lion?

Fun fact. team FNKI (at least the 2 members we know of) are based on memes: Neon Katt is bases on the Nyan Cat Flynt Coal is based on a meme created my Achievement Hunters's Minecraft let's play, where they always confused Flint and Coal and Flynt Coal became a Private Eye.
