Hey folks!

I took a few days to set up some scenes for my TTLG reboot, and I'd like to share a few shots from my overall storyboard.

Unlike my original run, I'm completely changing the narrative and themes. For one, this story will be told from Seymour's POV. He's a kindly old school teacher who's lived an unremarkable but honest life. And one day, he finds out he's got cancer and has only a few months left to live. Not wanting to die in pain, he decides to take the easy way out. But right before he pulls the trigger, he decides that there's one last thing he wants to do -

He wants to chat up a pretty girl.

Though he's got no shot, he doesn't care. Even the pain of rejection won't last till morning, 'cause he won't. There's a LOT more to this story, so don't assume that's all she wrote. There'll be quite a few surprises to come! 😄

Seymour's last night will intersect with my fav girl - Alice. It is through this tale that I'll add some three-dimensionality to her character. I've been building up her mythos over the past few years through multiple vignettes in my Patreon. But it is here that we will truly see her in action. 😉

For this project, I wanted to craft a hefty tale of taking chances in the face of certain death. A lot of fears tend to melt away when you come to realize there's no tomorrow. When actor Bill Bixby found out he had terminal cancer, the advise he always gave people was - "Drink the good wine".

I wish I could showcase more, but I want to leave some mystery alive (and need to complete this month's comic). 😅 I still plan to finish King's Quest IV right after, so expect TTLG to start sometime in the later half of this year.

In my next post, I'll drop some previews of the conclusion to my Cyberpunk + NieR: Automata comic, which will release 30 April.
