East of Eden

Hey folks!

Here it is - The Last of Us comic. I think it's one of my best tales yet! You can download the whole pack from the Dropbox link in this post.

Sorry for the slight delay. Coming in at 143 pages, it's nearly twice the size I had originally envisioned! 🤩

I hope you all enjoy it! I'm going to take a couple of days to clean up my cutting floor and then I'll be back to working on King's Quest IV for this month!

This past month was a real stressor. With the bullshit DS software update that crashed my renders and going overboard with TLOU comic, I burned myself out a bit. 😓

I'm going to take it a little easier working on KQIV, since it's still a few chapters away from completion. So I'm not going to rush it. 🙂

Will drop some sneak peeks of the latest KQ chapter in about a week. See you then!

Hope you're all having a great weekend, folks!

A master piece as usual: deep and rough to the core. Loved it. I do join Hellofacritic on his idea of Elli enjoying it a bit more when diving with her survival choice. Thanks for sharing your wolr with us.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts on my take on TLOU. Yeah, there were some narrative choices I made, and they were made based on my interpretation of the characters and dynamics of the world. The thing about TLOU that's compelling is the moral greyness of the world and the choices the characters make (like Joel saving Ellie from the doctors, etc). So any interpretation would be just as multi-faceted, based on your own worldview. I went with my version of Ellie and what she felt based on what I found would be most realistic. And I've mentioned this before, but I don't ignore the source material, even the elements I thought should be changed - like Ellie's lesbianism. And I don't think sexual tastes are static, and it's very possible she would know how to take a dick and maybe enjoy it a little. It's just that I don't articulate every thought that goes through a girl's head, especially when it's a short comic. But I can see how your version would be compelling, if done by someone who can script and render it who interpreted the situation as you do. I'm sure they'll be someone who does as this franchise still has some legs to it. Thanks again for providing your insights, man! Much appreciated!

Hey man. Great comic. After so much anticipation, you certainly delivered. Here is my review: As always it looks great. I really like how much effort must have been put in to make it look so professional. I greatly appreciate the epilogue. If those are the few pages you decided to add, those are an awesome addition. Seeing an older longer haired and pregnant Ellie really rounds the story up well. Still, as someone who can’t appreciate a piece of erotic work if the female character doesn't genuinely enjoys herself at some point during the act, I do wish the story went with a more enthusiastic Ellie, more altered by David, who fully enjoys both the sex and the situation. I don’t think it’s impossible. First your story could just ignore the DLC and TLoU2 (I know I do and not only for this comic) and just have Ellie be heterosexual. Second, even if you decided to acknowledge those later additions, you could just make her bi and discover some taste for men which could be entirely plausible. Indeed while I appreciated some of the insights into Ellie’s mind. The lines of “no passion” and basically ‘I’d have preferred to do it with my lesbian child crush” were… kind of an enormous downer. Altogether I would have rather wished Ellie was writing to her mother or Joel. Speaking of Joel, I really appreciate that you let him live. At least there is one timeline where he gets out alive… I have to say, I do find it interesting that your story is supposed to be a ‘bad ending’ from TloU, but it turned out to be a much better one than what they ended up making with their poor attempts at following the first one. In you scenario, Joel gets out alive while Ellie not only isn’t killed by the Fireflies in a procedure that wasn’t sure at all to work, but also manages to have children who will pass on her immunity. Altogether a big win for humanity.
