Natsuki Subaru is a useless dropout who gave up on life before even starting to live it. How is a virgin, awkward, shut-in boy supposed to react when summoned to another world by a silver haired, adorable, and smoking hot half-elf girl who proclaims her love for him? Ah... he forgot to mention... she is also completely insane!!!
A Witch in a Grey World:
Reina was born in the year 2112 of a dying world. Growing up in one of the wealthiest families of the county might have been considered a blessing in such a world, but for her all it ever menat was that she could basically do whatever she wanted. After all, who the hell cared about a 5th child born from an affair? She was a prodigy who learnt to write and read at the age of 3 by herself? Nobody cared... she was the top student of the country? Nobody cared... she managed to graduate with a PHD at the age of fourteen? Nobody cared...
So, you can imagine that when she shut herself in her room day after day, nobody cared either... why would she care about anyone when everyone either ignored her, despised her, or tried to use her?
"Hey, I think you missed a drop?"
She turned around her avatar, only to meet the gaze of another undead player. She had always ignored anyone who tried to interact with her till that moment as people were always trying to recruit her or ask to help them out as if she owed them something. But this time around, someone else actually was returning her something... a strange case... and, for the first time in a very long time, she was intrigued.

Actually, for your first idea, i wrote something very similar when i started TWTS back in 2020. I have an unfinished 30k words story where Momon has his own humble beginnings and he comes in contact with Honyopenyoko when she massacre his village. Jaldabaoth is still the big bad boss, but Momon is very fixated on killing Honyopenyoko (and i didn't reach the point where Jaldabaoth should be introduced). Nabe is the last sister who was not mentally controlled by Jaldabaoth and seeks to free her sisters from the demon's control, she is still a doppleganger that hates humans (but has her own reasons). Also, we got the 41 Supreme Beings, but they are treated as Eldritch Gods that grant you power through worship and sacrifice (they are consdiered blasphemous by humanity and some demi-humans too). Jaldabaoth and Honyopenyoko were worshippers who strayed from the way of their chosen God (even though that is debetable seeing how you can hardly say what an eldritch god might consider right or wrong, or if they even have such a concept). Still the story was never published and is still on my harddrive under the name "Tale of the Black"... oh, and Momon ended up making a contract with Momonga by "mistake" and so has developed skills linked to Death magic (the similarity in their name is a plot point i never got to address due to having abandoned the story)

2025-11-10 23:25:13 +0000 UTCHey Zero, I actually have two recommendations for your next special, just in case you don’t want to keep writing the same stories: 1. You could create a new story where Momon and Nabe are separate characters from their canon selves, with fully established relationships, history, powers, etc. Momon isn’t a half-baked warrior but a fully-fledged one like Touch Me. Nazarick and Ainz doesn’t exist in this world, but Jaldabaoth and his demon maids are still characters, essentially serving as Momon’s main antagonists. If you want you could also include Shalltear’s persona where she wore the white dress and had blonde hair, maybe she’s Jaldabaoth’s right hand. I’m not even going to attempt to write out her fake name that Ainz gave. If you want to go further, maybe include Sebas as well since he was known during the demon invasion arc. Especially since there was that debate between who was stronger from Evileye and Climb. 2. If you want to do a crossover for TWTS, especially since a lot of people seem to want to move on from Gate, you could have them interact with the Saga of Tanya the Evil Universe. We’ve already seen Ainz have a steady friendship with Tanya in quartet, and I would love to see how you would make this version of him interact with her. Especially when they aren’t in the comfort setting of a school but instead appearing in her war-torn world and meeting. Maybe have the plot include Being-X somehow, I would leave that up to you. Honestly, I think it would be funny if Tanya started to develop some kind of affection for Satoru and Renner would get in an argument with her. On that note, I’ve noticed that Satoru seems to attract younger girls with blonde hair. Coincidence? I think not! These are just some of my ideas that I think you could pull off for a future special. Also, don’t worry about any copyright or other BS, I’m not that petty, these are just general story ideas that I thought you could do. Anyways, good luck with your stories and I look forward to the next chapter/art piece you have in store for us.

He starts off as his usual self (even if more scared given his surroundings) and they spend time together (though Satella is still half insane due to Envy, so think it as him dating two people in one body). Without spoiling, after a month or so (though time is diffidult for Subaru to perceive there, so it seemed far longer to him there), Satella's mana runs out and Subaru gets thrown in Lugunica like in canon. His only goal.... free the girl who taught him Love (title is referencing the fact that Subaru is unknowingly acting as an unnofficial Archbishop of Envy seeing how his goal is being reunited with Satella by freeing her)

From the description, I can't tell what the fanfic part of it is because, based on the description alone, is just sounds like the canon Re:zero? is Setella actually literally right next to Subaru when he was somoned? Is that what the fanfic part is?
