Looking forward to the day this series get's picked to watch! My favorite anime to this day still. Yoko Takahashi is the Goat. Psyched for her in the upcoming Evangelion in development!

Unfortunately the quality of the music does not carry over to the series, never seen a more "hey look, arent i being so deep and smart right now" Show in my life

The realness of the voice and the fakeness of the instruments have been swapped. Nowadays, fake instruments sound super real, and folks' actual singing voices sound robotic

Great analysis. This is one of the all time best anime songs ever and one of my favorite songs. Fun Fact This is actually a remastered and re-recorded version of the original song done in 2017-2018, and not the original from the 90s, which makes it even more impressive that it still sounds almost exactly like the original, the choirlike backing vocals and a few other instruments are slightly stronger in the new mix and they cut out the guitar solo from after the chorus, but other than that it sounds really close to the original which is very impressive.

I mean the rebuilds are just amazing when it comes to music and biblical references

Oh, nice. I really hope you'll react to the anime in tier-3 in the future, that will definitely make me switch back to it !

Evangelion was the single biggest mindfuck I’ve ever seen. There are some amazing musical moments in it too

Sam

Such a great song and iconic for good reason.

One day we’ll get you to react to evangelion

This is one of the most famous J-Pop songs ever. Sorry to go back again to Karaoke, but there are 2 major companies that publish music for Karaoke in Japan and they release the rankings of most sung songs of the year and this song is ALWAYS in the Top 10. When ranking the Top 10 most sung karaoke songs of the Heisei Era (1989-2018), it ranked 1st in one company and 3rd in the other company. A Japanese instrumental version of this songs was playing as prelude music before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympics in Tokyo. You haven't need to have seen the anime to know this song. I think the closest comparison I can give it to the States is the Imperial March from Star Wars.
