JJK S3 Ep 3

LMAO ok
There is no way that anyone got all that info (non manga readers) on 1st viewing.
A metric fuck ton of info was dumped haha. It's very cool, and there is enough attraction to the idea of the story that I want to go back and watch again and pause to read. LOL, just an insane amount of stipulations to a shit ton of moving parts all happening at once.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet: The two items that were able to open the prison realm were mentioned cause they appeared in the story. The Inverted Spear of Heaven was the cursed tool that enabled Toji to stab Gojo and get through his infinity which ultimately lead to Toji being able to shoot the girl Gojo and Geto were protecting, the Star Plasma Vessel... which lead to Tengens Evolution, Geto's breakdown and him becoming evil and getting killed by Gojo, which lead to Kenjaku being able to get into his body and so on. And the Black Rope was used against Gojo during the movie, it was part of (the real) Geto's plan to kill all the non-sorcerers, so that the world would only consist of sorcerers who can control their cursed energy and thus produce no cursed spirits.

the main issue is that with her evolution, she's become akin to a cursed spirit, and cursed technique of the body that Kenjaku is controlling (Geto (who was Gojo's best friend until he turned evil)) is "Cursed Spirit Manipulation", which perfectly counters the current existence of Tengen, and makes her vulnerable to being instantly assimilated. Which results in the bad consequences she mentioned.

SKAOG

they've done a great a job for an exposition episode (although it's unwatchable with soft subs, hard subs make it much more palatable like what Crunchyroll has done)

Hahahaa

DrumRollTony

I tried really hard to keep track of everything but then Tengen started talking about some inverted Spear of Heaven and black rope and my focus was gone. Ain't no way man 🤣

1. In season 1 Gojo mentioned hakari as one of the people who can become as strong as him, 1 was Yuta 2. Was Todo 3. Was hakari, then 4 was potentially yuji since he started eating the fingers 2. Angel is one of the sorcerers that has come back to life from 1,000 years ago. Kenjaku at the end of season 2 used idle transfiguration to bring back some sorcerers from the heian era through using somebody from moderns time body. For example angel, megumjs sister also had a marking on her forehead at the end of season 2, and you’ll see more in the season which is why kenjaku said at the end of season 2 they are kinda like a Yuj; people who have a sorcer/cursefrom the hein era in them 3. Not everyone is sorcerers from hein era in the culling games, there are also modern day sorcers, and some people who have had their innate potential unlocked by Kenjaku using idle transfiguration, turning ordinary people into sorcerers, all part of evolving humanity

Also. The manga panels to don't help understand 🤣 Gege really had us all messed up 😅 them book clubs were intense. Got us studying like it was a final exam worth 90% of our livelihood

You know... When reading the manga. I sometimes was so lost and frustrated that it was hard to read. I think my best advice to not end up like that is "digest what you can. Ask about what you care about." With time somethings will make sense by themselves- and the other we can all be confused about together 👍

Shawtty

Instead of trying to understand when I read it I just went with the flow and it all kind of made sense overtime

If Toji didn’t kill the star vessel, none of these events would’ve happened. He’s the domino that started it all.

Casioka

Here's the reason Tengen is now in danger of the Curse Spirit Manipulation. Tengen always stayed human by assimilating with someone who can be the Star Plasma Vessel every so often, but the last vessel was killed by Toji in the flashback arc at the beginning of season 2 so Tengen is now becoming more like a curse. Kenjaku also didn't have access to the ability Curse Spirit Manipulation before because the ability belonged to Suguru Geto. In the JJK 0 movie, however, Geto lost his fight against Yuta and was later killed by Gojo. That meant Kenjaku was able to get a hold of Geto's body to take it over and finally be able to use Curse Spirit Manipulation on Tengen.

Honestly the anime did a way better job of explaining everything than the manga. With a bit of pausing I was able to get the gist of it.

Yeah, I immediately searched if anyone has already made a YouTube video on it and hearing someone explain it in English does help. This was the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVaDV9IxtNM I assume there will be lots of videos on this before the next ep but this will do.

Hope the class paid attention - everything on Tengen's Powerpoint will be on the test next week :p

Petelgeuse ahh

Critz

To be fair, even the mangaka acknowledged he was also confused when writing this culling game arc, so yeah... my brain

Dario Lizardisilva

My brain trembles.

Jet Man

Look man, the author is just making it up as he goes along lol. I doubt a repeat viewing clears most of it up tbh, genetic is the master of pulling new rules out of no where

Tengen was supposed to regularly merge with a human to stay human. 12 years ago, Toji killed the girl Tengen was meant to merge with (the one Young Gojo and Geto were protecting in Season 2). They never found a replacement, so Tengen couldn’t merge and was forced to evolve on her own. Because of that, Tengen slowly stopped being fully human and became more curse-like. That’s why Kenjaku can now absorb Tengen using his curse manipulation ability, which normally only works on curses.

Aidy

Science lesson type of episode. To be honest all you gotta remember is what out cast need to do. And the pace picks up from now on so no heavy quantum theory lore dumps

ES-SALHI

Hi Tony, I’m not sure if you saw the comment on your episode 2 reaction, someone wrote a quite long but really good explanation of your questions in the previous episode. If you haven’t read it, please do because it seemed very helpful. Ignore this comment if you read it already xD I just watched this episode too and by all info dropped in this, I was wondering if Tony read that dude’s comment on the previous one cuz it would help to understand some of the things said in this ep. I’ll watch the reaction now and try to explain anything if I can!!
