Haikyu!! S4 Ep 1

What a killer way to start of season 4! Let's GO!
The 2nd hand embarrassment I was feeling for Hinata for his moments 🤣🤣
I talked about all that stuff with a massive tangent at the end
Looking forward to more!

Haikyu!! S4 Ep 1

Comments

13:44 The name of the OST is "Substitute Support" by Asami Tachibana

LET'S GO, imo S4 is the best Haikyu season! And the Opening (PHOENIX by BURNOUT SYNDROMES) is fire as well! (P.S. continuing on from the point i made in the latest JoJo's episode, you can see that when the chorus of the opening starts at 2:12, it says that the name of the song used for the Opening is "PHOENIX", and the Artist is "BURNOUT SYNDROMES". and 24:27 for the Ending)

Most people wouldnt show up uninvited! But thats whats great about Hinata, if opportunities dont come to you then you create that possibility, i swear, Hinata as a character helped me to over come my fear of failure and to never give up. Luv ur reaction !

The moment the camera pans over to Hinata’s dumb smiling face is by far one of the funniest things I’ve seen in anime. But I also feel like the way this situation pans out is quite subversive for a shonen anime. Hinata is absolutely the archetype of your typical shonen protagonist, but the contextualization and consequences of his actions are all pretty realistic — the secondhand embarrassment, him getting chewed out, his demotion to ball boy. I think you’ll really enjoy the next arc Tony, I suspect we’ll be seeing a lot of tangents

You’re completely right in that if people saw this happen in America, others would take their opportunity and just ruin the protocols in place. That respect that Japan has is another reason why everyone is so upset at Hinata, but Coach Eyebrows wants to deny everything Hinata is so badly bc of his bad experience that he’s just hating for the love of the game. A point could possibly be made that if it was a fair scouting that looked at all a players talents and not just your height and your weight, Hinata would’ve been invited but it’s still ridiculous. Especially when he mentions that if he wouldn’t have possibly been arrested for it, he would even sneak in the National camp which is so much worse. People definitely love him and are attached to his goofball-ness but this is a moment where everyone who watches is just like wtf you idiot.

Also, you're not wrong for saying that you "know'" about Volleyball after watching Haikyuu. There's multiple people with a Volleyball background (Sarah Pavan, literally an Olympic athlete) that reacted to the series on Youtube and they all agree this show does a really good job on showing you what the sport is all about. Obviously not as deep as someone who actually plays but enough to watch a real match and understand why a play was good.

Yeah the first minutes of this episode were just the ending of Season 3. Just with the new animation.
