UPDATED Anime Schedule 1/12 - 1/16

Sorry Folks! I was tired last night
I completely forgot to update on the schedule that we are auto-adding:
➡️Oshi No Ko Season 3
➡️Frieren Season 2

I will keep the other post up for a bit so we can collect the suggestions for what should be on the vote to replace Monster. We will start the new anime on Thursday instead of Wednesday, which can give the vote more time with the community. Feel free to suggest again on this post if you like.

UPDATED Anime Schedule 1/12 - 1/16

Comments

Btw the voting is already done, so no HxH this time lol. I think if Tony wants to watch it at some point, it should be on Tier 3 rather than after Jojo's on Tier 1. It would provide way better pacing and make it more enjoyable for sure. If I could choose between getting HxH now on Tier 1 or waiting 1-2 years and then getting it on Tier 3, I'd pick the latter

Critz

Hunter x Hunter, you already said you're gonna add it to the voting list for what comes after Jojo, but Jojo's Part 7 is gonna be coming out in march and I assume it's gonna be an auto add after you finish Part 6. So maybe shifting HxH to another slot would be a good idea too, but it's up to you. I'm happy with everything as long as you watch it someday because I'm 100% sure you will enjoy it a lot.

Bakuman It’s an anime by the creators of Death Note about the life of 2 guys wanting to become mangakas (to get their own anime). And it’s honestly kind of a good look on how manga is made while also focusing on the personal growth of the main characters and the people around them.

Since I already mentioned Golden Kamuy on the first schedule post as the Monster replacement, I will throw out there the 12 episode insanity that is Inuyashiki: Last Hero for Golden Boy replacement. There are so many things that make it a unique experience, and saying anything is a spoiler honestly, so I'll just leave it to anyone else who knows of it to say yay or nay. It does get pretty dark at times though in terms of violence specifically.

Nick K

There's some some small quality issues, but you'll know it when you see it, laugh at it, and that's it. Not enough to ruin the experience imo

Nick K

Let's go Seahawks!!! BTA

Echoing calls for Golden Kamuy. I heard the anime adaptation was a little rough quality-wise (maybe only in early seasons?), but as a fan of the manga I'm all for it. It's an excellent bit of historical fiction centered around the remnants of the Russo-Japanese war, enlightening insights into Ainu culture, and has a unique and goofy-ass sense of humor. Think the historical focus of Vinland Saga with a hearty helping of Jojo's weirdness.

3-Gatsu no Lion is an all-time fav of mine. Second this suggestion in addition to my own. Fantastic sports series

Hunter x Hunter would be perfect because it has many episodes like Monster and would fill the multiple spots weekly needed to keep up with the story. Just don't let the appearance of Hunter x Hunter fool you in the beginning. Galneryus does some of the music and a couple of Tony's top compositions are in later arcs. This vote will be interesting.

If we're getting another free recommendation, Golden Kamuy's final season is airing now. A seinen (show aimed at adult men) set in Japan just after the Russo-Japanese war, a Japanese veteran and an Ainu girl (Ainu are a race of people indigenous to Japan) are swept up in a plot involving a rogue military platoon, a group of serial killers on the run and a massive pile of gold.

please put Hunter x hunter in the next poll ive been wanting it for like 2 years lmao

Jhon 1479

Evangelion is 26 episodes

Sprucefer

Hunter x Hunter

Critz

You can't escape it, we will have evangelion on one of these days. Impossible to overstate how much cultural impact this show has, on the level or greater than Bebop imo. It's only 12 episodes too

Copying my Golden Boy replacement suggestion from the previous post: I can't really think of any anime with as few episodes as Golden Boy, but if the normal single season 10-12 episodes is okay, I suggest Kokkoku. It's a great supernatural thriller.

Alamun

Copying my Monster replacement suggestion from the previous post: For the Monster replacement, I suggest March Comes in Like a Lion. It's a great drama with lots of great characters, and a good mix of deep topics and lighthearted moments.

Alamun

What a legendary suggestion🔥

Arslan Kenzhebaev

A Place Further Than The Universe It's a very powerful and inspiring anime about traveling to and living/working in Antarctica. An inspired Japanese actually went and did it after this anime aired. Plus there's also seafaring (on a icebreaker) segments.

Chrome

Shangri La frontier. Heavy gaming RPG elements you'd enjoy

Either or, we will look at both

DrumRollTony

Rising of the Shield Hero (S1) For the rpg aesthetic and the rage inducing plot :)

Lichrin69

Btw guys I think you’re supposed to comment on the other post about which anime you want on the vote - not this one

Critz

Lol, it's OK, can't wait

Red Menace

Takopis Original Sin, 6 eps Not sure how dark you want to get on here but this is probably the best anime of last year and incredible on every level. It IS a tough watch though

Shucks

Parasyte: The maxim, the anime is based on a horror manga from the 90s. it's 24 episodes. It's also more of serious series if you were looking for that.

screm

That I will have to wait on, it would be too stacked for me to handle. LOL it is already a lot

DrumRollTony

Second season of Hells Paradise (Jigokuraku) is also up this season. It's loaded.
