JJK S3 Ep 2

The speed depiction of the fight with Choso vs Naoya is very entertaining to watch!
👀Okkkkk that is better! I was worried after the end of episode 1 but at least we got a sigh of relief for the moment. I don't totally understand what Fushiguro asked when he appeared but I get that it's pushing them towards the game. The Culling Game's rules look interesting. LOL the point system is cool and the ability to add rules is going to really stir stuff up. Wild.
So, the last 3 mins or so... I need help remembering who the girl is and what her role was.
Thanks! I verbalized a lot of thoughts before the ED music as well.

JJK S3 Ep 2

I really like this show, the insane animation, the camera angles and movements, the music, all that stuff is really up there. The artists that worked on this anime are obviously really talented and dedicated to their craft. That being said, the narration is the weakest aspect. I understand wanting to keep the audience guessing, but there's just too much elements presented in a needlessly confusing way.

Hermit

Don't worry about it being confusing. I've watched these first two eps like 4 or 5 times and still don't get some stuff.

Jeff

BTW dont worry if it's confusing, the author likes to dump text and even reading the manga can get confusing

screm

Doesn't matter too much but Kenjaku's real name gets revealed next episode during the talk with Tengen. The first thing you reveal ending up being a spoiler is a bit ironic.

Titus

the reason megumi desperately wants yujis help is because his sister (tsumiki) was dragged into the culling game despite only just waking up from a coma and she is the most important person to him

damn dubs arent out yet?

Here's some info that will clear up pretty much every major confusion so far (only relevant info, no spoilers): 1. Geto (guy in the kimono) was killed by Gojo at the end of the JJK 0 Movie. The guy that's currently inhabiting Geto's body is an ancient sorcerer (over 1000 years old) called Kenjaku. His cursed technique lets him transfer his brain into another body, and then he's able to use the host's cursed technique and physical traits. So Geto was just his latest and most useful vessel. The reason why the forehead of Geto's body has stitches is because Kenjaku transplanted his own brain into Geto after he died. So if a person has stitches on their forehead, it's probably Kenjaku inside lmao. 2. Kenjaku believes that humans have stagnated, that cursed energy is humanity's true potential, and that evolution requires chaos and suffering. Before going along with his plan, he had to seal Gojo (the biggest obstacle) in the Prison Realm. Then he extracted and used Mahito's technique, Idle Transfiguration (which can modify a human body/soul), to awaken cursed techniques in ordinary people which he had marked. He has also created vessels for past sorcerers to come back. His plan is then to create a nationwide death game in Japan known as the Culling Game in order to push humanity to evolve. 3. Kenjaku once inhabited the body of Noritoshi Kamo (real sorcerer from 150 years ago). While inside, he committed horrifying experiments which is why Noritoshi Kamo is known as the most evil sorcerer in history. He created the nine Death Painting Wombs. In Season 1, Mahito and the others got ahold of 3 of those Death Painting Wombs (from Jujutsu High). They were: Choso, Eso, and Kechizu. Yuji and Nobara killed Eso and Kechizu at the end of Season 1, and Choso could sense this since he has a connection to his family. That's why he fought Yuji in Season 2. When he was about to kill Yuji, however, he could feel that one of his brothers were about to die. So that's why he believes Yuji is his brother. Furthermore, Choso could feel that the guy inhabiting Geto's body was his Creator - he knows him as Noritoshi Kamo (even though it was Kenjaku inhabiting him). So he yells out "Noritoshi Kamo!". So some sorcerers refer to the guy inhabiting Geto’s body as Noritoshi Kamo. 4. Megumi mentions that his sister, Tsumiki Fushiguro (who has been in a coma for a long time), has to participate in the Culling Game, as well. So Kenjaku has marked her. 5. Yuji and the others want to unseal Gojo and that's why they contact Tengen. Tengen is an immortal sorcerer who acts as the foundation of modern jujutsu society. His barrier techniques protect Jujutsu High and stabilize cursed energy across Japan. Because he has lived for over a thousand years, he also has knowledge about ancient sorcerers, sealing techniques, and jujutsu rules that no one else has. So they want to see Tengen since he may know how to unseal Gojo from the Prison Realm, he understands Kenjaku and the ancient sorcerers, and he likely knows how the Culling Game works. Furthermore, the 6 remaining Death Painting Wombs are also in Jujutsu High which Choso can sense, since they're his brothers. 6. The Culling Game hasn't started yet. We've mostly just seen people trying to kill Yuji due to Sukuna taking over Yuji's body in Season 2, and a lot of people dying as a result. Though do note that, as said in the episode, Yuta didn't actually want to kill Yuji - it was just an act so that the higher ups would believe Yuji was dead now. Then they won't send another executioner, and Yuji will be able to move a bit more freely. 7. Yuki Tsukumo (blond-haired woman) is one of the strongest sorcerers in the world, but unlike most of them, she doesn’t work for the jujutsu higher-ups and usually stays out of their business. Instead of just fighting curses, she’s spent years studying cursed energy itself and how it affects humans. She’s there now because the situation involves ancient sorcerers, large-scale plans, and the future of jujutsu society, which are things she actually understands and has opinions about. She also knows Tengen, which makes her one of the few people who can realistically be involved in these discussions.

Critz

Take a LONG LOOK at the woman in the flashback and think of ANYONE ELSE in the series that had the same scars.

Casioka

fyi, Gojo, Kuroo from Nekoma (Haikyuu), and Bucciarati have the same VA

SKAOG

and the animation just gets better!

SKAOG

The girl's name is tsumuki, she's step sister of Megumi - she had some screen time is S1 and S2 although less than 5 mins. For now you just need to know that she's somehow turned into a 'player' for culling games, hence Megumi's desparation to save her

Lucipurr

That was crazy. I thought the claim was just that, a claim with no truth 👀

DrumRollTony

hey in all fairness yuta did change his hairdo

tpoints16

Delete this man that’s a spoiler, they get to that later

Cody

I will just say since it says so in other translations, but When it says "stripped of their cursed technique" on the culling games rules, it also means die

hihelloevery1

Just realized JJK is one of the few Shounen genre that Tony is watching Typical shounen like power of friendship, hardwork, like MC is always gonna be the strongest type story might be not for everyone. I feel like JJK, aka the new gen is giving MC more failure and death And as a fighting and combat focused anime, JJK probably has the best camera movement which makes the action scenes stand out from different anime

CK C

For the yuji dad and yuji grandpa scene - remember in season 02 how geto reavels by unstiching his forehead and showing a brain there by confirming that geto died and "the brain" is using his body. Now in this scene when yuji's mom appears to enter the room we see a similar forehead stitching scar...

Lucipurr

The main reason of showing that flashback when Yuji was a baby was to show that his Mom has the same scars on her forehead that “Geto”(Gojos friend/Kimono guy). It’s solidifying Choso’s claim that him and Yuji are “brothers”
