His name translates to 'Golden Boy' and there's a holiday in Japan called 'Boy's Day' and it's traditional to place little Kintaro dolls around the place. A chubby child of supernatural strength, he wears a red bib with the word "Gold" on it, wields a massive axe and can speak with animals. He spends his time travelling the regions of Mount Oe helping local woodcutters and slaying monsters.
