Erzsebet Báthory is based on the real historical figure; a 16th century Hungarian countess named Elizabeth Báthory. I won't go into detail here but this depiction is unfortunately pretty accurate to what the real person did. Pretty horrific piece of history if you're interested in that sort of thing lol.
