SO GOOD on a serious note though, "his only choice is to jump" is such a deep line and probably one of my favorites from this season for sure. shows how much character hinata's got to not be the guy who will constantly whine and complain about his height, but rather be someone who we see go running (with kageyama or on his own) no matter the season, just so he can develop the stamina to continuously jump and jump and jump to be at that height and overcome that gap. sublime.

This anime is so perfectly done. I don’t know if this has been said before but the mangaka who created haikyuu was also a member of a volleyball team for his middle and high school years and played as a middle blocker. Thats where his inspiration comes from and why there is such realism in this anime and the lines of the characters sometimes.
