Summer Time Rendering Ep 10

This is such a killer anime
I liked the reinforcement of information we got in this episode.
Still a few questions regarding copying something like a nail gun vs a human.
Thriller moments are a perfect fit for the October timeline viewing

Yeah, the only difference I would say between the copying of objects and humans is that, when a human is copied, the shadow has a few days to get rid of the original so they can replace it. In the case of machines, they simply aren't given that buffer and the copied machine won't work at all until the original is destroyed whereas for a human, they have a few days of use before their body dies. In Ushio's case, they were able to hang out because shadow Ushio only just recently copied real Ushio's data, and simply fought off the urge to kill real Ushio. As it turns out, real Ushio ended up dying anyway by Shiori's hand which made it such that shadow Ushio wouldn't die anymore (lose function)

Ushio turning into a sea shell kinda reminds of that Jojo part 4 episode where Josuke went to Rohan's house to scam him. The alien guy turned into dice and could also talk while being in that form lol

I don't think the copy rules are different for humans. Ushio said that when a shadow gets created, it instinctively knows it's only a temporary copy unless it kills the original. That's why they instinctively want to kill the original. Ushio even said she felt the urge to kill her original. But it seems she was able to resist that urge. I assume some explanation will come later as to why she was special (I'm watching this for the first time along with you, so that's not a hint or anything).
