The phone video use at the start was fun to see, and then the memory leap was just killer! Some tragic moments in here for those who are witnessing the deaths. #trauma

Not sure whether you got it by the end of the episode, but there was some confusion about how the shadow copying works. When a shadow copies someone, it emits a camera flash and flash noise. Copying someone gives the shadow all of their memories and their current appearance. They can re-copy the person to get an update to the latest version of both their memories and appearance. This is how shadow Ushio healed her leg and how she changed to the swimsuit. This is why thus far shadow Mio has been identifiable by the fact that she always wears a school uniform since that's what Mio was wearing when she was copied. By default, a shadow can only maintain the copy for so long. This is why they have a strong instinct to kill the person they copied, allowing them to permanently maintain the person's appearance and memories.

2025-10-29 22:49:46 +0000 UTCThe two eyed girl was at the end of the festival when the whole island was zapped away and covered by shadow. She was like floating above them, and seemed pretty important to the big shadow dude there. She's only shown up that one time and her importance hasn't fully been explained yet, so makes sense you don't remember her. I think in that episode it was also implied that Shinpei has her eye, but might be a good one to rewatch as well
