15:10 FYI The "Hi" in "Hinata" refers to the Sun, while "Tsuki" refers to the Moon, which is why the imagery was used where Hinata was standing on the Sun, while Tsukishima was standing on the crescent moon.

2025-09-10 15:57:23 +0000 UTCI can relate to the lost enthusiasm, but mine was caused by my highschool band director. 4th-7th grade I played trombone and then switched to percussion because I found it more interesting. I was all in on percussion even joined middle school jazz band as the drummer and joined our drum line and this continued into 9th grade. Then 10th grade came along and our band was low on trombone players and had a lot of people in the percussion section. Our band director knew that I could play trombone and he made me switch. I quickly lost interest in band altogether to the point that I dropped it my senior year. I did continue to play drums and pick up the bass and guitar on my own outside of school so I didn't give up on music completely.

Someone might have mentioned this previously, but with Hinata and Tsukishima, their names are sorta opposites to match their characters, with Hinata meaning "sunny"or sunlight, and Tsuki meaning the moon.

It really is real, and the author of Haikyuu interviewed so many different people in order to get all these perspectives and channel them in different ways and on different teams. That kind of care and attention is such a big thing. Bokuto (grey haired owl dude) is such a fan-favorite character and it's because of these training camp episodes, he's really eccentric tbh and just a fun character to have in the story, plus top 5 Aces in the country is nothing to sneeze at, just imagine Ushiwaka who's the number 1 ace, yikes.
