At least here they got to a kiss and it's a sealed deal. A good chunk of romance anime (and the reason I don't watch purely romance anime anymore) ends with "and then they held hands" or "now they became good friends who have hots for each other"

More of a "oh you didn't have to go through all this effort just for me!" kind of vibe, which is basically what she says immediately after. He could've asked her out at a Burger King with no bells and whistles and she would've been delighted either way. True story, I asked my current gf of 6.5 years out at a Burger King, no balloons, no grand master plan...worked out for me!
