Great episode! seeing how you like seeing music development so much from complete beginners, I think you might reaaaally love the anime movie/manga Blue Giant. It’s about the journey of a complete beginner kid that knows nothing about music discovering Jazz music. (I hope it gets a show soon bc the manga goes into so much more realistic detail) Another good one is Beck, which is about a kid who becomes a beginner guitar player and gets involved w/ an amateur band. Both really show the growth and the technicalities and more realistic struggles of beginners & amateurs. Keep up the good work man! The information and stories you give on music is really cool, interesting and genuinely valuable. Very inspiring

tbc i am dramatically oversimplifying a INCREDIBLY complex issue with no clear definitive answer, and for anyone who wants to know more id highly recommend watching actual economist theorize on it.

I can't say I've ever had a single shred of interest in high school band but listening to you tangent at the end was possibly even more entertaining then the episode itself. It's super cool how passionate you clearly are about the topic and being able to correlate your own experiences to certain aspects of the show is super intriguing to listen too. It's awesome seeing you gush about the animation in demon slayer or geek out about the rpg elements in solo leveling but these sorts of episodes are definitely a highlight on the patreon for me.

peeps

when it comes to economies of the future, especially in a situation like what is outlined in the show(and while not an economist, i have seen several economist theorize on this, so pinch of salt and all that), there are 3 kinda main options: 1. sort of a European style socialized capitalism, with a UBI(universal basic income) for poverty and whatnot. Since most robots irl have an hourly rate you can tax the hourly rate similar to an income tax. and then institute some sort of loto system for the human jobs, ala the expanse. 2. basically capitalist dystopia, you've seen the shows and know what i mean. 3. basically wish fulfillment where AI solves all problems.

Red Menace

Thank you for the reaction and your tangent. It's nice to learn more about your real experiences.
