Hi, everyone,

This time I'm actively working on a short comic for Shortbox comic fair 2025! Fingers crossed I make it in time haha *sweating*

It's based on some of my dreams and nightmares, but it's more silly and funny than scary. Im trying to let go of perfectionism when inking and just have fun with it :) Can't wait to show the final comic to everyone!

The layouts were done in Clip Studio, and then I transferred the lines to paper by using my iPad as a lightbox.

This month I’m on a short trip to Japan. The plan was to draw outside a lot and make some process shots, but it’s pouring rain almost every day of the trip 😔

I come back home early June to continue working on my comic for shortbox comic fair! It’s going to be inked traditionally, so I’m planning to record some inking videos~

Hi!~ This month I had to make a trip to the neighbor country to run some errands, and unfortunately forgot the stylus for my old small cintiq, that I carry with me during travels. It means I wasn’t able to draw anything new, but I filmed my current travel sketchbook~ I'm going on a vacation in the second half of May and hopefully I'll have a chance to use it a lot there.

This month I'm answering a question about my approach to paneling comics and also a couple of small questions about adding a tint to the line art and my brush settings!

The key step in paneling a comic is creating layouts. I always start with very simple and small (!) layouts to place the characters and plan the placement of their speech bubbles. When you work small, it's easier to see how well the page can be read, and you can plan elements that will direct the reader's eyes - lighting...

Here're some Funny scribbles! Aside from drawing, this month I discovered a podcast "Writing Excuses" and been listening to it while walking my dog. It's helping me a lot to get out from my writing pithole, and I made some good progress on Lilith's Word writing!

This time I'm bringing you a real time inking process of a new illustration with my character. I did a sketch in CSP on the iPad, then transferred the sketch to paper using my iPad like a lightbox, inked it, took a photo, and added colors to it in CSP.
