Arcane S2 Ep 8

We are almost there.
The story is soaked in sadness but WOW this has been a good journey.
Seems like it moved too fast but we are just about at the end. Conflict feels unavoidable.
So where do we go next? What do we watch after Arcane??

Arcane S2 Ep 8

Has anyone told you about the music video for Ambessa that came right before they aired season 2? It's packed with lore about her past. There's also another music video about Noxus that recently came out. It's a trailer introduction for the sequel series & immediately follows the end of the season 2. I hope you watch both of them after you finish arcane and add the reactions to the arcane collection.

They got spicy in jail cell crazy so many Germs 😂😂

Med-_-Kit-_-

@brendan i googled reviews of the show and generaly only saw praise for the show, ive only seen the first and second season, and its been awhile since then, and none of the movies, so without spoiling, what exactly do people have a problem with? also @tony what about it is not good for you?

Red Menace

Shangri La Frontier is my recommendation

V STAN

This might be a long shot, but Avatar the Last Airbender (the show) is really good, even as an adult

Ryo

Next show suggestion: Samurai Champloo

Matej Božič

castlevania

Tauren Rogue

Now that's a really good suggestion, I didn't even think of it.

aramis alfons

91 days is a pretty good and underrated show

Ster_arch_13

The song towards the end is "The line" by Twenty One Pilots, would definitely love to see you react to the full version, it´s awesome!

Ster_arch_13

Alright. I searched peoples issues with it. I definitely did not see it the same way as others on the internet, I’m honestly surprised that orhers saw it as anything other than horror. But I’ll respect the choice and move on.

Brendan Coen

Never gonna happen

DrumRollTony

It’s hard to pick a new one after this show. Made in abyss is my choice.

Brendan Coen

Psycho pass ! Sci fi and thriller and big fat gun named Dominator

Logan H

Honestly one of my favorite shows of the year it came out. Super underrated.

peeps

Great Teacher Onizuka 、Hinamatsuri、Golden Kamuy、Summertime Render and Black Lagoon are really fun to watch

George Ben

Orb: On the Movements of the Earth I'm only 5 episodes in, but the visuals are similar to Vinland Saga, and the writing is on par with it as well.

James

I mean, that doesnt change that they probably wanted it to be longer and that they rushed things because of limitations. Like, I assume animation studios generally have a "plan" of what they want to do from the start (or more like what they CAN do). But if the plan is: "we can only do 2 season, we'll have to rush some things" it's not really a proper plan you know what I mean? Regardless of if they wanted to do 5 seasons and then it changed or if this was the original plan I still feel like they wanted to do more.

Lixien

i will drop a wild card here, One Outs

David Bencze

They said they're restarting from scratch. They're not giving up on it, the project is very much alive

Hermit

a riot mmorpg was in the works but something happened and i don't know if they are doing it anymore

Sk dragon

The castlevania show I think would be a good replacement. Its another good English va show, I don't think it's as good as arcane but not much is.

TheGoblerTrainsMovinIn

Would love to see Shangri-La Frontier its such a fun show

AussieBoy

No, the show was always meant to be 2 seasons (the 5 season rumor and all that stuff is confirmed not true), but they had to trim a lot of content out due limitations by Fortiche and how much they were willing/able to animate (for example, almost an hour of content was cut just from the final episode if I remember correctly. And many scenes where removed or cut down since even the beginning of season 1) despite all that, it’s incredible they still managed to keep it a 7-8/10 even at its worst

sakamata

Hard to find shows at this caliber ngl… maybe Golden Kamuy?

P_ateric

So apparently there is a reason why the show feels rushed in some parts, it seems that Arcane was originally intended to be a much longer series than just 2 seasons. So it seems that in order to fit in everything, they had to condense SO much (but also probably why the show ended up being so rich in detail, especially when re watching, you can see how they left a lot of intentional breadcrumbs to allude to what happened off screen or for the things they weren't able to fully expand on within the show) Also totally should check out blue eye samurai!

Yuyu

👏

Yuyu

ooo yes an excellent mention!

Yuyu

I can't speak for RWBY since I've never seen it. But as much as I love Monster and think Tony would too, the show doesn't make for great reaction content in my opinion. It's quite long at 74 episodes and is the text book definition of a slow burn. Blue Eye Samurai however is a hidden gem that I'd love to see on here.

peeps

Blue Eye Samurai!

EdTheAlchemist

Ah, sorry. For some reason, I was thinking in terms of how you picked Fate/Zero instead of there being a poll.

James Long

Please suggest ONE title. There is no way we can build a poll system if everyone drops 3-4 titles

DrumRollTony

My fault for not reminding how our system works.

DrumRollTony

Couple of suggestions for what to watch after Arcane: Blue Eye Samurai - Similar to Arcane, a high budget prestige animated Netflix show. Basic description is a samurai action show. Monster - One of the all time great anime shows. Basic description for this is a deliberately paced psychological thriller. RWBY - Low budget anime-inspired show. Has a great soundtrack. Even if you don't react to the show, I recommend reacting to the 4 trailers for the show that introduce the main characters. They are short and can probably be done in one video. Red Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYW2GmHB5xs White Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt9vl8iAN5Q Black Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImKCt7BD4U4 Yellow Trailer - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCw_aAS7vWI

James Long

Can’t lie, I think it would be a cool anime to react to even if it doesn’t replace Arcane.

Sarai

Castlevania or Vox Machina

Avalon

Invincible would be a hell of a show for the Patreon. Thirded.

Ryan Pitcher

Castlevania for sure. New season just came out two weeks ago and it was fire.

peeps

I second castlevania

Teal Sword

Seconded.

Kevin Baker

Since you're into DND I suggest The Legend of Vox Machina. Its a show based off the campaign of a group of voice actors called Critical Role.

Frizen

You definitely aren't the only person who thinks that it moved way too quickly. The series could have definitely benefited from an extra two or three episodes

Belac

Question: Would the door be open to have at least 1 show on the patreon that is around 40 to 60 minutes in length? If so, my suggestion would be for "Invincible" on Prime. It's where Omni-man is from.

Jet Man

That final scene gives me the chills every time. The song was The Line, by 21 Pilots. My favorite from the S2 soundtrack. They played it at the Game Awards last month, the singer's performance was great! For the next show I'd recommend Ping-pong The Animation. It has a very unique visual style, some great animations and a really nice story.

Hermit

Shangri La Frontier is really popular atm and right up your alley, definitely worth the three episode test run.

Brady Rickard

man its hard to think of a replacement for arcane, would you consider doing the full overlord since you like that? or maybe castlevania since you were never able to get around to that due to time?
