The specific music style of the ending song is Ondo, I don't know why but it's been a running gag for decades for anime to sometimes have a character ondo at the end, even Danganronpa did it and that series isn't particularly cheery

In the modern era of shows airing in Japan but then releasing on streaming in other countries, you will potentially see the OVAs pop up on the streaming site that has that show months or years after a season has ended, which is why some fans will be aware and others will have no idea, because they're really easy to miss if they are released.

ONA is a series made for streaming and not TV. So a show like Cyberpunk Edgerunners is a ONA since it aired on streaming sites and not on Japanese television
