Since you can't hear his voice in the manga, he's often just a comic relief in the background making funny faces. But in anime you can't just ignore this guy basically yelling "LOOK AT ME π€‘π€ͺπ€£" constantly

They use that word in the last scene, as well as when referring to the literal golden balls and when the subs refer to Okarun having lost his "family jewels", so the entire thing has been a pun from the start.

Yeah sure some characters end up as lovers but without showing any good development between them. This genre is targeted towards young boys so it makes sense. Whatβs great about DanDaDan is that it actually does romance right. The dynamic between Momo and Okarun is great and all the wack stuff that goes on is probably what keeps teens reading.

2024-12-18 08:04:27 +0000 UTCI think I have a bias for liking Jiji because in middle school I was friends with a guy who was almost exactly like him, he was very open minded and friendly even to the less popular people, but cuz he was popular he had the confidence to just be as annoying and goofy as possible, there was a time when he imitated a siren between classes and it sounded so legit a bunch of people downstairs thought there was a drill going on

I've also heard a lot of what he does is based on a comedian that got popular in the late 2000's. But to us it just seems like an overly annoying and over the top character, the type of person you would be fed up with in 5 minutes

I'm not by any means an artistic person but it's pretty cool learning about music and how the industry works in real life. Not sure if it will ever be in a poll but Dance Dance danseur and Welcome to ballroom are both of my favorite animes that go around music and dance I hope you end up check-in it out someday.
