Season 2 to be specific, it kinda falls off because of the budget but I think if you tried, you would really appreciate the manga.

2024-11-28 00:27:20 +0000 UTCThis is definitely better after watching a lot of anime but I feel like anyone that watched cartoons and/or enough shows/movies can understand the jokes that this show is making. I would argue that it's a better anime for people that are new to anime because unless you are a teen, your regular action/battle anime can turn you off. This show is hard not to like no matter who you are so it can easily make a "normie" realize that: "hey, anime is not a genre, it's a medium and if I don't like anime is just because I didnt find the right ones"

2024-11-27 23:46:28 +0000 UTCThere are a lot of chapters in the manga, like 250 chapters, so there are plenty of material to go off. Which is just awesome! It's just such a subversion compared to normal shonen anime, where the main charector keeps growing

2024-11-27 20:33:05 +0000 UTCYeah, there aren't too many that lean into parody ridiculousness in the same way as OPM, and most are lower quality since I think there's a bit of a perception that comedy can get by without good visuals (S2 of OPM certainly went that way). Mashle is probably closest in general tone to OPM, but in a Harry Potter setting instead of superhero. The Eminence in Shadow is very funny but it's more of an edgy isekai parody.

This anime definitely shows how it gets people really into it despite Saitama being crazy strong and I canβt wait for you to get to those parts.
