Steins;Gate Rewatch Ep 5

Watching Suzuha react in this ep was wild!

Steins;Gate Rewatch Ep 5

ie aot is not as cerebral as this.

Red Menace

while you could do it for attack on titan i don't think it would be as good, because alot of the stuff is "one and done" like once you know you know, while some things are ok on a rewatch, as a whole i don't think it works as well.

Red Menace

@Ian You are confusing WLs. The show has started on Beta WL and after the first DMail Okabe is on Alpha WL. And he gonna stay there until he removes the log about his first DMail from SERN's system. And I already know that. I think you wanted to post it not as a reply to my comment

I'll preface this: this isn't spoilers, but ima quickly bring up some things in the show that aren't obvious (at least to me) about the state of SERN and the universe . Personally I didn't realise this till I asked online (even after 2/3 rewatches) and I don't think forwarding this information to you does anything but make the rewatch better! :) If its something you want to try and figure out yourself then don't read below BELOW: ------------------------------------------------ Okabe and Kurisu are actually the first at developing a successful time machine in this worldline. That's why SERN sends the rounders to get them in the first place. This is already explained in the show, but it can be hard to remember/realise. If you think about it: SERN has been trying and failing (the Jellyman reports) to send people/matter back in time, but they don't realise there's a different option, one that Okabe and the gang are succeeding at: sending data back in time. In this Beta worldline SERN want Okabe and co, since they are actually the ones succeeding in doing time travel in some form (thats why they just kill Mayuri, she isn't needed) and if Okabe were to stay in this worldline then as we know Kurisu would somehow end up helping them make a time machine. It's also worth bringing back up that SERN have a sort of detector in place that can record things that travel into the past (told to us when Suzuha takes Okabe to the broken time machine), eg they can detect when someone has tried to go back/change the past. The first DMail is picked up by the detector and tips off SERN, leading to all of the subsequent actions in the Beta worldline (the one we are in after the first DMail is sent)

Ian

yea, the only things she has from her dad in Alpha worldlines: the time machine and this badge.

Did not catch the detail of Suzuka looking at the pin at the beginning of this one. Plot point that won’t even be brought up for like 10 episodes

SimplySora

@DRT Both things explained later in the show. Moe culture and Faris in ep 17. And Suzuha gave many info on SERN in eps 15, 16.

How do you know that?

2 remarks: 1) About the stores that disappear in one of worldlines. These are different stores and it's about how Faris influenced the moe culture spread in Akihabara. After her DMail moe stores and maid caffees are gone but not electronics stores Daru was talking about. 2) Okabe is technically right - with the help of Kurisu they indeed built time leap machine before SERN. Actually SERN needs them in some way. They stuck with their experiments sending people back in time and they need someone who will make time machine for them. Rintaro's lab is already on the radar.
