2024-10-17 03:58:13 +0000 UTCNot sure if anyone has mentioned yet, but the soundtrack is by Kensuke Ushio - one of the best around and always so varied. He did the OST for Liz and the Blue Bird. Not sure if there are any other shows you’ve watched yet that he did - but his Devilman Crybaby and A Silent Voice OSTs are some of my favourite of his.

What's interesting is that the people that dabble in the field of cryptids couldn't decide whether it was an alien or a ghost, which makes it very fitting for this anime.

I don't remember if she's consciously doing it here, but it's just a general defense buff the psychics can maintain. It's also working on cartoon logic a bit haha, so people are built pretty tough across the board.

2024-10-15 21:26:47 +0000 UTCThere’s like multiple awards in Japan, we have the Crunchyroll awards which do give out awards for categories like best OST, best opening, best ending etc but uh they’re kinda hard to take seriously a lot of the times. It’s like 50% public voting and most ppl who watch anime are unfortunately not gonna be paying attention to the soundtrack so what usually wins is whatever show has a recognisable name for the composer (Sawano, Kevin Penkin, or the composer for this show and a bunch of others Kensuke Ushio) or just whatever show is popular but doesn’t necessarily have the best OST.
