So he feels that any sacrifice is worth it so long as he achieves the end goal. Its very extremist but Canute was under a lot of pressure to meet the Vikings expectations and really rally them together... its no wonder he started to accept sacrifices as ok.

2024-09-14 04:19:29 +0000 UTCI love this episode but I hate what it ends on because basically everything I'd want to talk about that has to do with especially Canute and Thorfinn's conversation is completely tied to what comes next. Obviously no spoilers but I can't wait to see what you think of the whole Thorfinn in Canute's camp/talk section once it's completely covered because goddamn does it have some serious and incredibly interesting depth, not just narratively but philosophically as well as depending on how far you dig in some other fields of thought. This series just gives you so much to chew on its actually amazing.

I think your critiques are very fair and make sense from the music world and background you come from. I just wanna say i've had the privlage of being one of the few people who has seen Survive said the prophet live twice now in north America. the first was 2023 at anime north in toronto which was their first ever performance in north america and the second was 2024 again in toronto when they came back a second time because of how killer the crowd was. you actually missed them as they were at NEUMO's in Seattle on July 10th. I will confirm for you that im my humble opinion they fucking rock live. my favorite live show i've ever been too for what its worth but i've only been to like 8. most of their Band including the lead singer Yosh are proficiently Bilingual and had a really cool dialouge and back and forth with the crowd when I saw them. 100000% a band worth giving a chance live when they come back on tour in 2025. My favorite song by them is Hi LO if your willing to give it a listen but live is still UNMATCHED

It's really cool how historically accurate Vinland tends to be. But if I find out how IRL king Canute dies, I'm almost positive that's how he'll die in the anime.
