About the whole song meaning during the openings. At a anime convention where im from one of the guest, ZAQ, who does a lot of anime openings mentioned that they dont get a lot of context to the plot most of the time and just get told the vibe they want.

nothing about the pacing of the show thus far has been bad from any objective standpoint. it's really just whether you like this type of pacing or not. it's not for everyone. If you know you're in for a long run with the build-up then you just have to understand that a slow build-up isn't inherently bad and just mentally strap yourself in to prepare yourself for it.

Man. What makes this show really dope is that even though I've watched it 4 times in the past, with this being my 5th, I'm still making big connections I never noticed before. This show is such a fun rewatch

Personally I liked it. The show taking its time in the first half makes what happens later better imo. You could say that the "slow-building" had bad execution but I didnt feel it. They threw enough mysteries here and there that kept me from watching to figure out what the hell is going on. And at the same time, the slice of life part, the character interactions (outside of the weirdo things, but that's not a pacing problem) was fun to watch. I wasn't in a rush for the show to go anywhere because I enjoyed them just doing stupid things. I think that if you watch the first half as a slice of life (and you are a person that enjoys slice of life where "nothing" happens) instead of waiting until they get "somewhere", the first half is more enjoyable. (SPOILER for Tony) Honestly, I found the part of Okabe second half undoing some of the D-mails to be less enjoyable than the first half just because of how rushed they feel. Also, the second half is better overall, dont get me wrong, but it loses that feeling of "unease" and mystery that something is going on but you don't know what that I really liked from this show. It's like when in horror shows/movies "something" feels scary because you don't know what it is yet. But then they discover/figure out who or what the "monster/villain" is and it doesnt feel scary anymore.

Fr dude, so many little forshadowing moments

Not sure why you keep listening to the OP and ED every episode. But DO NOT STOP. It's awesome on this one

Avalon

I like seeing okabe occasionally show his real feelings, like in this episode where he says "maybe I just wanted friends". You can tell he has a lot of social anxiety and self esteem issues under all the loud delusional stuff

I’m losing my mind catching all these details on this rewatch lmao Especially this episode πŸ‘€
