It started off as a chiptune song on my Gameboy cartridge, but ended up losing the project file because of internal battery failure! Luckily i recorded all the important bits and have been working with what I have~
I had a ton of fun programming crazy metal drums on this one <3
Revived this melody from 2017 and turned it into a tribute to happy hardcore and other net music from the last decade <3
It's a total homage to the 00s, messy breakbeats, gaudy supersaw leads, fat reeses and even MP3 compression.

This ones kind of nutty, We started it about a year ago and came back to finish it last week! I did the cute teeny chiptune / panflute verses as expected, but ALSO made the huge ravey synths at the 2 minute mark!
I used Razor and automated some comb filter style effects to make this harmonically complex patch. I'm especially proud of its tone at 2:24, it sounds like if Death Grips destroyed a mellot...

I grew up listening to a lot of indietronica and jrock and I've found myself getting back into that vibe over the last year thanks to artists like Sidney Gish, Car Seat Headrest and Ogre You Asshole.
Limiting myself to certain gear and focusing on recording as opposed to programming has allowed songs like this to have a very warm, human characteristic!

Making variations for the chords was a lot of fun. Adding glitchy octave jump kinda gave it Ordinary Day's vibes (they use ascending chord inversions though). I even snuck a quintuplet in there.

I made a lot of ORIGINAL bootlegs for this DJ set, it was a lot of fun pretty much organizing 20 MINUTES of music in my DAW!
