2024-08-21 17:05:20 +0000 UTCUfotable (animation studio) has been combining 3D and 2D animation for a while - when they did Fate/Zero and then Garden of Sinners they really became the first production company IMO to find a way to use those crazy sweeping 3D camera angles and get CG elements fit into an anime without looking out of place. Since then they've only improved with Unlimited Blade Works, and Demon Slayer. Even just within Demon Slayer they keep getting better, with these early episodes now paling in comparison to the animation quality you'll see later

2024-08-21 15:31:42 +0000 UTCI remember in school when I was younger we played dodgeball with the red rubber balls and then as years went by schools phased out those for those colorful memory foam ones which weren't nearly as satisfying but you could still throw hard enough at short range that it would be like a slap to the face for someone. You always felt such a high when you managed to catch a throw though. Similarly I remember in elementary we would play buns up/butts up pretty regularly with a tennis ball and while I don't remember the exact rules we played by there was definitely a lot of throwing tennis balls as hard as you could at each other's backs when you dropped it.

And we played kick ball with the rubber dodgeballs. It's funny you mention how the demons of this episode remind you of those annoying videos games that spam a move. That totally adds up with why I didn't like this fight 😂
